My next trip is THIS WEEKEND!!! I leave on Saturday. I'm taking my SIL's down for a week. We'll be back next Friday. Then, I'm going down again in February with another friend. GOSH..... I LOVE DVC!!!:love:

We're thinking we are going to do a half in Portland, Maine in the fall. We are also gonna do some shorter races here in WI- we should do them together! I must warn- I only walk though- no running for me! There are TONS of 3K's, 5K's and 10K's we could walk with. Also- the Leukemia and Lymphoma society sets up training teams for marathons and half marathons- maybe we could do that together too. You'll have to walk in a half for them raising funds if you train with them, but it's for a good cause. What do you think?

I would love to do a race around here. And I too only walk right now. I have probably 100+ to loose before I can even think of running. I bet my DD10 would love to join us. She is as big a Disney fan as me, and she is interested in getting healthier too. I think I need to start with the 3k, and 5k first. I'll increase as we go. I bet there is a website around that lists races around here. do you have any coming up that you want to do, or know of?

I've only been in the BLC for about a week or so, but so far, I like it. They give you an easy to follow food plan, it includes recipes and shopping lists! they have a great community board over there where there are challenges etc. I haven't used my bodybugg yet- it hasn't come in the mail, but will probably come while I'm in WDW. I'm on a thread in the BLC community though nad the people there really love it! I'm excited to get it and use it because it will really help me in keeping track of how much more I need to do daily to meet the requirements I need to to lose weight for that week. People that use it absolutely love it!

Hmmm, I think I may look into joining, do they have a place like spark people that you log in your food and it counts calories?

No, we are going in the WARM, ok HOT summer month of August!:scared1: I also want to go to the Giant Sequioa National forest, and perhaps a beach day at the Ocean. I would love to do more, but I doubt we'll have the $ or the time to do more in L.A.


We should do a video together and go on the show! Maybe for season 9? How fun would that be? They could label us the Disney Lovin/BLC Freaks that met and became friends due to the BL show! :laughing:

Could be an great adventure!

I'm in again for the Biggest loser challenge. I'm hoping to find more time to keep active in the weekly threads, and maybe even lose more than a few pounds. I'm up a few over the holidays, so most likely starting tomorrow with the same weight I started with in the fall.

We are trying something new this time, with one big group, stay tuned tomorrow for the new thread!

I can't wait- I'll try logging on tomorrow night if I'm not too tired. Our flight leaves Vegas at 11:15am and we don't arrive in Philly until 8:40pm. I think we are stopping in Chicago - I couldn't get a non stop since it's the Holidays.

I'm going to try to watch my calories tomorrow, maybe get enough protien bars to fill my quota. We are going to stop somewhere on the way home (we will be tired so it would have to be fast food), hopefully I can convince my DH to stop someplace healthy -but there isn't much on the route home so I'm not sure where we will end up. He will be tired so he will only be thinking about convenience and him and the kids are never that excited about my food choices, lol. Maybe I can convince him to run by Chik-fil-A in town. I can get a grilled chicken sandwich.

I'm so excited to start. I've eaten so much here that I feel bloated and yuck. I also bought the two new BL workout tapes and plan to start on those on Saturday. My plans are to get up and go to Whole Foods and our new Trader Joes - if I have enough energy to drive the 45 minutes each way to get to them. I'm going to try to come up with a plan for my first week (a plan of meals). Its exciting to have a fresh new start.

Just want everyone to know I will be out this week. We are headed down to WDW on Saturday and will be back next Friday, so chances are I'll hop on the wagon then.
 
Count me in. I'm headed to WDW in April for a wedding and I've gained 30 lbs in the last year and a half.:scared1: I am not going to see mickey (and my friends) looking like this. Plus I can't afford to keep buying new clothes. :lmao:

This is my first time wandering over to the WISH board and I'd love to jump in on this challenge! I really need to lose weight and improve my health!
 
Why not, I'll commit too. I've been up and down more times than I want to admit. I have to change my eating and exercise habits for good. I deserve to be healthy. I have to remember that and believe it every day. I can't do this for anyone but me; not my family, not for vacation, just me. I feel good about myself when I am at a healthy weight. I have dedicated this year to finding my joy, this is going to be part of it.
 
Okay, I'm in too! I turned 50 in 2008 and wanted to lose weight then. I started working out in earnest but had to have surgery. This year I am ready to do it! I need to be fit and healthy and make life-long changes.
 
I love the idea that this will be one big happy family! I'd like to try here to get back my control. I'm looking forward to sharing our success.

Hi friends! :yay: I've been away from WISH for a looooooonnngggg time :mad: which explains why I've gained back everything I lost a few years back, and then some. :rolleyes1 I joined one of the BL challenges a couple of years ago, but didn't do anything to commit to it, so of course, I didn't lose any weight. Brand new year ... let's try this again. :goodvibes

A huge HELLO to all of my WISH Walkers Team 2005 ... so great to see you all here. That was a truly memorable event that I will never, ever forget. We trained, supported and accomplished a huge goal together. :grouphug:

I am so glad this challenge is starting this week! I had a bad cold and got off track with my exercising, then came the holidays...:confused3

Since losing 25lbs with BL6, my energy level was great over the holidays- but then again so was my party mode and appetite... :scared1:

So back on track it is- with a big group for mutual support on this thread. :grouphug:
