Hello WISHERS!

I am just now joining wish! I have lurked around a bit and finally joined the budget board, then I kept seeing the WISH cliparts on lots and lots of posts. I did lose some major pounds between 2001 and 2002. Spring of 2002 I had gone from 215 (after the birth of my first DD) to 139 and a size 8. Since then I have had another DD, and seem to be stuck at a size 12 and 149. I KNOW the reason I am stuck has lots to do with me, it's winter, my least favorite time of the year, and I am UNMOTIVATED! BUT we live in central GA so spring is right around the corner and I'm feeling it! My motivation has kicked into high gear! In the last two weeks I went from running 3 miles 1-2 times a weeks (I wasn't going whenever my friend canceled) to just being me and running wether I have someone to run with or not! This past week I have run four days already and am running tonight. My plans are to work up to running 6 miles five days a week and walking in the morning once the weather gets warm and I can take little DD 10 months with me in the jogger! Then it's the Atlanta Peachtree Roadrace for me for the fourth year in a row!! YIPPEE!!!! I'll motivate you, you motivate me!!! GO, GO, GO! And a BIG congrats to all of you big weight losers, I am so inspired by your clipart tags!

MAY ALL OF OUR WISHES COME TRUE!::yes::

Hi Kelly:wave2: and welcome to WISH! I LOVE your energy and enthusiasm, and it will be much appreciated here! Good luck to you as you work towards your health and fitness goals--6 miles a day is quite an achievement! Right now I'm working to maintain a 110lb. loss, and exercise has been my best friend. I try to workout 6-7 days a week--that way I don't worry too much about eating a cookie or two if I really want one. So far it's all been balancing out, and I love to come here to hear everyone's inspiring stories, and motivational tips--WISH is a GREAT place to be and it's helped me so much! I'm really glad you're here Kelly, and do keep us posted--I can't wait to hear all about your successes!:) :) :)

Hi Kelly!! Welcome to the WISH Board! We are so happy that you have decided to join us!! You will find lots of support and encouragement on this board so jump right in!! :)

Welcome back, Kelly!

All of us know about the roller coaster and I DON'T mean the RocknRoller one!

Where in Georgia do you live? I live in North Georgia, Atlanta, and usually WATCH the Peachtree Road Race... :p ... since it ran past my job on Peachtree Road!

Robinrs

Thank you luvmydogs, beanie, and robinrs. I am excited to be a part of WISH! Robinrs, I live in LaGrange, GA right now about 1 hour south of the Airport, but my DH works around the metro area, and I have many friends in and around Atlanta so we are up there often (I went to high school in Lithonia (Shiloh), showed horses in Wills Park off 400, and love to dine in the Highlands area), just can't get away but we ended up down here when we went looking for a house on land so that our horses could be in our backyard and couldn't find what we wanted where we were living at the time (5 minutes from the Mall of Georgia). The one part I love about being where we are is that we are usually about 5 degrees warmer here then in Atlanta, so spring comes a bit sooner and summer lasts a bit longer (can you tell I love warm weather! :sunny: Luvmydogs, what kind of workout do you do 6-7 days a week (That is some true motivation! Three cheers for you!). I also try to balance my eating with working out after all my sweet tooth is the biggest one that the tooth fairy has ever seen (or so the note that she left said). Oh and of course I love my dog too. She's a 5lb minpin who is determined to bite the leg off of a mailman/meter reader/person she doesn't know, my only hope is that they are wearing a good pair of jeans when she does :o

Happy Sunday!

Hi Kelly! When I began losing weight @15 months ago, I started with WATP tapes--I could barely do the one mile without getting exhausted. I just knew I had to make exercise a daily habit (like brushing my teeth) in order for me to have any long-term weight loss success this time. (Quick history: nearly 16 years of yo-yo dieting, 800 pounds lost and gained back, not counting this last weight loss!). It took me a loooong time to build any kind of fitness level at all, but now I do Firm tapes almost exclusively. I enjoy the combo of weights and cardio, and I've seen excellent results. On weekends I usually do WATP 4 Mile Super Challenge--it's a nice little break from the weights workouts. I really had to look back at my past weight loss/gaining back failures and almost take an inventory of what didn't work for me. Daily exercise really seems to be the one thing that keeps me in check--I do eat well, but I don't deny myself something that I'm really craving--the exercise seems to help me balance everything out. I've only been maintaining officially for three weeks, but this time I refuse to yo-yo anymore--physically and mentally I am just too exhausted! Once again, I'm glad you've decided to join us! Do keep us posted! Have a great week, and check-in often!:wave2:
