my older dd went shopping today with two friends. they were checking out dresses for their 8th grade graduation.

I am NOT ready for her to be in high school.

It is even sadder to have your only DD go shopping for her wedding dress....I still can't believe that day was over 4 years ago. Where did the time go????

It will be hard keeping her away for HS boys since she is so beautiful. Both of your girls are lovely.

Lori

thanks, Lori!

I looked at my girls tonight and realized I've got one teenager and one who'll be a teenager in just over a year. they're not babies anymore...

I've seen pics of your dd as well and I think your fun is just beginning Songbird. She's a beautiful young lady and you'll be fighting the boys off with a stick! lol

forget the stick, I say invest in a shotgun!

Keep those dirty boys away!

Jungle Josh:teeth:

Briar--my dad still says that!! im 19 now, but every time i look at dresses for graduation, prom, etc..its the same thing!

Did she go to Whitman? Tell her next time to wave hi to me, I work at Guess :) Was there from 8:00 til 2:00.

wyes, Evil Princess, that's where they were shopping. we will have to stop by someitme!

they're having their 8th grade dinnerdance at the Huntington Townhouse by the way.

I'm working ever day until Wed., six days in a row oh goodie! But it's money, and I'm broke, so I can't complain. I needed a job very badly.

Walt Whitman is where I usually frequent, followed by Roosevelt Field if I feel like driving. Americana if I feel like REALLY spending :) When I was your daughters age I think I went to Walt Whitman every Saturday to spend my babysitting money. Ahh, the good old days before gas, repairs, food, cable, cellphone, and credit card bills. (Though I'm sure in the future I'll be looking back on college fondly while thinking of my morgage, taxes, utlities, etc. ;) )

Huntington Townhouse, right by the mall! I remember my eighth grade dance fondly, took me FOREVER to find a dress. My first updo for a dance :) Did she find the dress?

no, she didn't buy anything -- today was just for looking -- though if you saw a 13 year old with a blonde ponytail, all in pink in an abercrombie mini and a tank top, that was her.

If I saw a thirteen year old in a blonde ponytail with pink Abercrombie, I'd think that she were my younger twin ;)

Well I didn't see any gray hairs in the beautiful pic of you and your DDs on another site. ;)
So if nobody can see them, they are not there, right? ;)
