(Sigh) Just another shuttle question

We arrive at LAX on Sunday, May 20th, at 4:30 p.m. I've been looking into transportation from the airport to our hotel and have narrowed it down to two, Karmel and Disney Express. I know Karmel will pick us up as soon as we have our bags and the Express won't come back around until 5:30 as per their schedule. Taking into consideration getting off the plane and getting our checked bags, do you think it would really save us much time if we chose Karmel over the Express? I ask because we are thinking of doing a character dinner that first night and I'm trying to decide what time to make the reservation. Or are we cutting it too close to even think about a character meal that night?

We're traveling with 4 kids (9, 6, 3, and infant), we will have their carseats, the total difference in price is only $1.00, and we've traveled with both companies before and had positive experiences with each.

If you take the DL express bus you don't need car seats.

We rented a car this time around and decided next time we'll deal with the extra wait and take the DLE so we don't have to deal w/ car seats and boosters.

At LAX, it took a good 25 minutes to get down to baggage claim and get to the curb, so I think that the difference in time would be minimal.

Assuming the plane lands at 4:30, being a Sunday into May I don't see why it wouldn't, with the kids and picking up luggage, 5:30 doesn't sound aweful. They might like the movie on Disneyland Resort Express.

Karmel may only have you leaveing 10-20 minutes sooner.

Are you going to the DLH or GCH? If not the transfer on DRE may add another 10 minutes plus the time to the other hotel. That makes Karmel look a bit better.
