What are the chances that the sidewalk that heads West outside the front gates of the Magic Kingdom (between Seven Seas Lagoon and the monorail platform) will ever be expanded and connect over at the Grand Floridian? With the new DVC going up, it makes me wonder if there are plans. The one obstacle I see is the little waterway that goes to the backstage area of the Magic Kingdom is where the Water Pagent barges come in and out. What are the chances of them making a drawbridge, smaller in size like the one used in Epcot near the China Pavilion for Illumination barges?

1) Probably zero-to-none.
2) They are building a monorail resort.
3) People will take the monorail.
4) No need for the added expenses.

Agree with Rusty on this one. It's not just the cost of the bridge but they'd have to man it on both sides like they do in world showcase whenever they need o operate it. Not going to happen.

Another factor is there is wooded area along the path. They would need to put in protection against wildlife, which could possibly bring in environmental issues (protected wetlands?).
