Trying to figure out which stroller to bring...

We have a 3 1/2 year old and a new baby and were going in November.

Would you bring:
Lightweight side by side (22 pounds) great basket, single canopy that is large. Easy push but wide.

Or

Heavy (38 pound) city select tandem. Huge basket. Different configurations. A little like pushing a hot dog cart but its narrower than the sbs.

Side by side, definitely. Our double random was heavy and a pain to push, our umbrella double is sooo much easier!

I don't like tandem strollers for anything, WDW or otherwise. They're too heavy, and they're gigantic when you fold them.

The width of the side-by-side really won't be an issue. It's no wider than a wheelchair, and everything is wheelchair-friendly. A stroller that's easy to push is very important.

Direct answer: The side by side.

Something to consider: A single that would accommodate either kiddo and a backpack to carry the infant in (whatever they call those).

We spent 6 weeks backpacking in Europe and traveling frequently by train last Spring with our 3 year old and 13 month old, and we took one lightweight but nice umbrella-ish stroller and an Ergo baby carrier. We walked everywhere through 9 countries, and the Ergo and stroller combo was perfect.

For a November trip and with a new baby, even if you bring a double stroller, I would still definitely bring a baby carrier of some kind, because it is so much easier and more comfortable for baby to be snuggled in a carrier while waiting in lines rather than carried in your arms.

Disney is a bit of a different animal though, so going with the lightweight side by side is another good option. Have a great time on your trip!

Bring the Easy Push side by side and some sort of Baby Carrier.

There are so many places you cannot bring a stroller that a baby carrier is priceless. Your arms and back will appreciate the comfort of a good double ring sling for the baby.

Oh I'm a huge proponent of baby wearing, unfortunately, #4's delivery separated my pelvis and wearing her is painful, even with a very good carrier. I bought DH an Ergo, I'm hoping he will wear her.

At the Guggenheim in NYC the coatcheck will take your stroller and loan you a backpack carrier for your kiddo. My daughter at 14 months learned to call mommy a brood-mare, priceless.

I'm a city select tandem girl. I lived how it handled. So much easier than any other tandem. My twins used it to forty pounds each and it was always easy to steer. It was great on the monorail and in stores. Loved the storage. We actually bought it for Europe when we travelled by shop. It fit down the narrow hallways. Loved it. With a teeny tiny baby and a toddler it will be a breeZe to steer. So comfy too. Amazing sun canopy.

Can you try them out first?

For my twins, I loved the tandem front & back stroller. Then I heard so many comments about the maclarens so we bought one, a side by side. Hated it! We have used both at home and both at Disney. No difference. The side by side was harder to steer, harder to fold, and harder to carry on the bus. Just my opinion.

We had tandem and our kids kicked each other a lot. Rented baby jogger city mini our first Disney trip and in love with it.
