Sick, sad, and not going...

On some kinda one-a-day horse pill antibiotic for my ears and the Dr sez no airplane trippie for me. I am deffo feeling sorry for myself atm ...

...but I think I'm going to take my little wad of travel cash to K-mart later on today and take a couple extra Angel Tree tags down. (I had already been feeling a little bit sad/guilty 'cause there are SO MANY of them this year.)

Maybe next year.

I'm sorry, I can completely sympathize with you. And I bet I can make you laugh ...

... I was supposed to be in WDW this week, actually taking my Mom down. Well Dad's health has been iffy all year and since thing have been a bit tough with him lately we decided to cancel at the last minute. No big deal ... I'm stuck here in the cold but I can deal with that, but I really feel bad for my Mom. So my week of vacation has been spent taking care of my Dad and doing things for them (which I'm ok with). Anyhow last night I wake up about 2:00am and felt achy and sick to my stomach. I go to the bathroom and begin to pray to the toilet and then I pass out. Yup, out cold! So I wake up and go back to feeling sick when I realize I'm bleeding ... on the way down I hit the edge of the garbage can and cut my nose open! I now have this attractive gash on my nose ... you can laugh, I did!! But I'm thinking I have to come up with a better story for how I got injured!

The bright side for you is that you get to have some fun making kids happy ... and you get more time to plan your next trip! I hope you feel better soon.

I know exactly what it's like to not have an exciting story --25 years ago, I fell off my back step and broke my ankle -- was in a cast for 2 months. Coulda happened from a fall while rock climbing -- NO. Coulda happened gettin' bucked off a green-broke stud-horse -- NO. Coulda happened steppin' in a hole while hiking into a high mountain lake to go trout fishin' -- NO. Broke my ankle by fallin' off the flippin' back step... pitiful. I second Rosie's idea about coming up with a good story. (((((((goodvibes ))))))))) for your dad.

I am so sorry to hear this. It's great news for the Angel Tree kids, but I was really looking forward to meeting you.
