Sick of the upper class bashing

I have never bragged about my Coach handbags. Mostly I have posted on the thread telling others I liked what they bought or saying which ones I liked better. For the record: yes I have three Coach handbags, a mini-skinny and a wristlet. All of those except for one handbag (that I bought with a 25% off coupon) were gifts.

There is a thread that people who like Coach handbags post on. I haven't posted on it for a while.

I'm SOOOO not rich,lol..I just got a coach bag..I got it from the navy exchange online and they were offering 15% off of your first days purchase, plus the store itself had a 10 % discount and free shipping... I got it at a great price, but I still winced when I bought it..It sits up on top of my entertainment center when I'm not using it because I don't want it to get damaged..I plan to use that purse for YEARS.. yes, I splurged, but I've been to hell and back this year and I wanted something special

yes that is what I mean. You said "Where's The SportsCar?" like you couldn't imagine what people are talking about so I was thinking maybe you traded down to a boring Saturn Sedan or something.

To me a sportscar is an 8 or 16 cylinder sports car. Not a 4 cylinder Saturn.

Thanks for the car terminology lesson but until my life reaches the point where I don't have to install a car seat, it just wouldn't be practical.

The advantage of being an empty-nester. It was affordable because we're at a point in our lives where we don't have childcare costs, diapers, sports equipment, etc. that we have to buy. DH & I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Is there something so wrong with that?

This is sort of off topic, but Dh had a friend that would constantly quote his purchase price of every big item he bought. Drove me crazy. I guess he was trying to impress people??? Anyway, I've found the people that talk about what they have..usually have very little in the bank. Those who are wealthy and don't flaunt it are usually very understated and wonderful people. A car saleman friend tells us those who come in wearing fancy clothes and flashy jewelry have the worst credit, and the average "Joe" wearing a ball cap and sweatshirt has the good credit. Go figure!

I'll join you in the Off Topic seating section. I personally have found your theory to be very accurate. My ex-FIL once told me that you can easily spot the richest person in the grocery store. They have the least in their cart.

Back on topic. This thread started off hilarious. "Don't hate me just because I'm rich!" Yeah, like there's not a hundred other reasons to make fun of you already.

Anyway, even though this thread started off hilarious, it's ending up very, very sadly.
