Sick kitty, any advice?

I have been following this thread. I am so sorry for the loss of your kitty.

I am so sorry to read about the loss of your kitty

I am so sorry your kitty died :(

Our kitty accidentally took some of my DDs medicine last year, and I remember the heartbreak when we thought we were losing her. I can tell your kitty was loved - :grouphug:

britfish, I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved little kitty

Thank you all for your kind words. DD has handled it better than me but we are all getting better with the passing days.
Talk of a new kitty has started although I think DH is not convinced.

so sorry for your loss
as "mom" to 3 cats, I was drawn to this thread and read thru it quickly hoping for a happy ending.
I lost 2 cats in 6 wks time in '08 and that was tough. I will forever miss those unique individuals that brought me so much love and joy. But in the months that followed, I was privileged to rescue 2 kittens needing homes. They have helped fill the void in my heart. I get tears in my eyes just thinking about how much I love them. The day my beloved Max died I just so happened to read Helen Keller's quote "When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." It is so true.
When you're are ready, it would be a wonderful tribute to your lost kitty if you could open your heart and home to another kitty who desperately needs to be loved.

I'm sorry to hear that your kitty passed. THey bring so much love to our lives it is hard to lose them.

 To you. Your kitty lead a great life and brought you tons of joy so dwell on those memories to get you through this difficult time. Your kitty appreciates everything you did to provide for him and care for him.

When the time is right you can add a new member to your family.

I find another great way to deal with grief or stress is to volunteer at a pet shelter. It is such a great feeling of satisfaction knowing I am helping an animal in need. Shelters need folks to help walk/play with dogs which I find rewarding to give the dogs a little play time outside of their cage. I am focused on them and not my grief. And knowing that I am helping them is just so rewarding. Shelters also need folks to clean cat cages. Feed them and play with them.
