sick and tired of reading bad things

LMAO! I dont want to add to your guys vicious cycle which has now turned into people complaining about people complaining about people complaining

Where's the fun in that? Let's shoot for "people complaining about people complaining about people complaining about people complaining about people complaining about people complaining about people complaining." :rotfl2:

Wow, it had been a while since someone started a thread that just consisted of whining about what others post. I can't say that I'd missed those threads.

LOL! If it gets to that point, my head will be spinning more than it is now and it will be Chaos!

I think they just shuffled the other ones off to the theme parks community board faster and you missed them. ;)

Stop complaining about people complaining about people complaining. That's ignorant and hypocritical. :rolleyes1 ;) :rotfl2:

Can I ask why? I want to be excited about disney but all I read is complaints, surely if you have been going through threads u have read them too? So why is this the most unpleasant? The one that says please think if those who haven't been yet?!

I dont know why you cant skip over them. I dont do the DDP, so I skip over those threads. It is an easy concept

I wouldn't assume that the people who are upset about the massive changes, and yes they are massive changes, don't love WDW. Most do, and that is precisely why they are upset or angry etc. Passion goes both ways. What is that saying...the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference.

Everyone is different. I can participate in negative discussions about FP+ and go to WDW and have a great time (I just did in November!) But I get it that other people don't feel the same way. Different strokes and all that.

:thumbsup2 Exactly it is bc we love going to our favorite place that these changes are concerning.

I can kind of sympathize with the OP. Since the whole MDE/FP+ transition started, there has been a lot more negativity on the board. Sometimes you start reading a thread about how someone liked FP+ and you get to page two and it goes downhill fast. Or threads that have nothing to do with FP+ get hijacked and no longer discuss the original topic.

I know part of it is that people are resistant to change. I know that part of it is that people will be forced to change if they want to continue visiting WDW. I know part of it has been the frustration of the testing process (growing pains, for lack of a better term) and the changes made daily during that time. I know it doesn't seem fair and it may cause some people to vacation elsewhere. But it would be nice if we could see more posts about how to maximize your day working within the new boundaries - to me that is what strategy is all about. We should be sharing our tips on how to make the new systems work more efficiently, because the new systems are here to stay. Disney may tweak it a little here and there, but basically we just have to adapt and move on, or go elsewhere.

I've been going to WDW since 1971. I've seen a lot of things come and go. Some were great, some not so great. But the one thing you can always count on is nothing will stay the same.

That would be all fine and dandy if this wasnt affecting guests who are there now, or planning trips. We spent a lot of money on a short trip in Dec, and WDW kept changing the game plan daily, making us their guinea pigs without giving something back to the consumer or allowing us to make informed decisions about our plans. That is where my negativity came from. And my negativty comes from WDW telling me I can do something, change my FP+s on the fly and they we could not bc they were all gone. Dont sell me on something it cant do all the time. The capcity is not there to suppost this product.

Off the subject of complaining, does anyone know when the whole MB/FP+ system fully 100% launches? They are still in "test phase" arent they?

Nobody knows anything, is basically the response to any MB/FP+ questions that ask about the future.

Um what? So disney hasnt released an official launch date?

No.

Disney doesn't release any of this information as an announcement to the general public. People on the outside have their sources, and they share the information. It's how the word about KTTW cards leaving and FP+ at AK got out in the first place. According to Disney, none of that has happened yet as they haven't announced it publicly .

I see what you did there.

Although ironic, I'd label my post as more of a devious pot-stirring inside joke. :stir: :rotfl2:
Are you sir complaining about my complaint? Is the pot that you're stirring by any chance black? ;)

Not at all. I was ironically defending your "complaining" by quoting someone else. ;)

Sometimes my attempts at satire are too "deadpan" which is probably why a lot of people think I'm such a negative person. :lmao:

Haven't read through all the responses but to OP, just know that you are going to the happiest place on earth and completely ignore any posts you deem negative. Skip right over them! I don't think people are intentionally trying to be negative. There have been issues with the magic bands and this is an open forum where people discuss the good and the bad. Have a beautiful trip and just take with you all of the information you learned on here to maximize your trip and don't read into (literally) what you think is too much complaining, etc. Have fun on your trip!

The problem lately is that there are too many negative posts from people that have not even been there to try out the MB/FP+.

And to the OP, I love disney, been there twice with MB and FP+ and can't wait to go back no matter what system they are using. You will have a great time.

There are a couple of viewpoints that are important.

Decided to go:

1. If someone is going to WDW - no matter what. Then I agree that the changes are here to stay, and they need to be able read about how to get the most out of their planned trip. This is the case with the OP. The "here is my itinerary what do you think" strands filled with FP+ selections have already started trickling in. People will be happy to help and comment.

But there is another reason for TPAS boards.

Not sure what next trip should look like:

2. How are changes going to affect my future planning? This is just as important. This is why we still need discussions about Disneys motive and possible long range goals. This is why we need to try and predict. It doesn't make sense for me to blindly trust Disney with Annual pass purchases for my family without some sense of what to expect. Here are some of my questions that are being discussed "vigorously".

- how will off site guests be treated in July over 4th of July?
- if everyone is on the system will I have to grab ride reservations in May?
- should I use my Wyndham Points at Bonnet Creek for October 2014?
- would I be happier staying at Universal and enjoying their system and experiencing Diagon Alley?
- Do I invest $2500 in annual passes?
- for 2015 do I use my DVC points at wdw or do I try for Disneyland at the seven month mark? And I need to worry about 2015 now, because we will be booking those vacations soon, and I have to allocate points.
- I have a group of 12 wanting to plan a trip, after the October 2013 experience, I am not willing to organize all of that again. What are my options? Could a party that size simply wing it?
- with the new credit card guarantee that dampens my enthusiasm for dining (too risky with a large group).

There are other questions.

The easiest thing for me is 2016 - July 4th. Saving DVC points for a big family get together. Good or Bad we will be staying at AKV and enjoying a week in the parks. I can worry about best FP+ strategy in May that year.

But now I have to decide about F&W 2014, spring Break for 2015, and summer get together with friends in 2015. All off site visits. I have to decide right away.

I have to make my best guesses and roll the dice. 10 month booking window for Wyndham starts right now for FW!

One thing that I'm NOT complaining about is your attempt at satire. It was quite good IMO. :thumbsup2

Why do you have to physically try the system to know that no park hopping, limit of 3 and tiering is restrictive to the way you tour? Should all the people who think its awesome and haven't tried stop posting too, because even if they know they love the ability to reserve rides they still haven't tried it?

Finally, there are tons of us in the planning stage. I have absolutely experienced FP+ at home, I don't know what else you would call the hours spent figuring out our schedule and dealing with the always wonderful MDE site.
