To those who have stayed there, did you use the shuttle transportation? How was your experience? We will obviously have a rental car but I guess looking at avoiding a couple days worth of parking fees we might use the shuttle...

The shuttle is scheduled, and shared-destination (one goes to MK+EP, the other to AK+DS). They run about every half-hour or so, but take a mid-day break. If that works with your schedule, then you could try it. Personally, I think the $14 is worth it to be able to be entirely on my own schedule, and would use the shuttles mostly only if we had to split up, or all the adults were having BEvERages, but that's just me.

Hope I'm not hijacking your thread, but I was also wondering about the shuttle service from Wyndham Bonnet Creek. We will not have a car, so we will be relying mainly on the shuttles (with the occasional taxi). We are flying and was hoping to save the cost of car rental/parking, which would add about $40-50/day to our trip. Anyone have any shuttle experiences (good/bad) to share?

bumping - still looking for some feedback on Bonnet Creek shuttles

We were there the week between Christmas and New Years. I decided to try out the shuttle just for fun. We were just in Orlando to relax and only to go in the parks on New Years Eve so we had a lot of free time. One morning I decided to take the shuttle over to the Magic Kingdom. I was needeing to exchange something at one of the monorail resorts. I had been watching out the window that week and noticed that the shuttles were almost always on time or at least very close. I decided to take the 11:15 shuttle but I knew I had to make a quick trip because the shuttle service took a break after I think 1:00 p.m. So I hoped the bus to Magic Kingdom/Epcot and as we were leaving the parking lot the driver announced that due to heavy traffic going in to the Magic Kingdom that he was going to drop us all off at Epcot and we could take the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. He said he needed to stay on time and that traffic was just to heavy to try it to MK. I knew that this would take longer and there would be no way that I could get off at Epcot catch the monorail over and then back to Epcot to get back to Bonnet Creek on the last bus before the break in shuttle service. So, I just decided to stay on the bus and ride back to BC. I knew that we had a car and could make the exchange another time. The bus was nice like the Disney buses just brown and the driver was friendly. I am sure this just happened because of the extremely crowded time, but I would say make sure you are flexible because even tho they are good, they are not Disney good.

We stayed early October 2010 and only used the shuttle once. It was about 5 minutes late getting to the resort and 5 minutes late getting to the park to pick us up. No big deal really. You can't always make traffic run on time. Drivers were always great. It was still pretty warm out and they'd always ask if we needed more air/if we were comfortable.
