So, that price is for both passengers, correct? We have two adult women, myself and DD25. Is it pretty safe? Are they allowed to pick up at the SNA airport where you get the taxi's? How do you know when your Uber is there for you? The price seems good but I'm a bit nervous about using it.

Yes it's one price for all passengers depending on the size of the vehicle (you can choose the size when you order a ride). My young daughters (10 and 8) and I have used Uber several times in urban areas (disneyland included) and have always felt safe. I have not personally used them from an airport but from what I hear they can pick you up at your gate. Maybe someone else can speak to the specifics at SNA. Everything is done through the app (including payment) which is very user friendly and detailed. Once you call for a driver it will tell you what car they are driving so you can look for it. You can also message the driver. I suggest googling Uber to find out more.

The price you are noting is more along the lines of what I was expecting for a taxi. How do you avoid the fixed rate for the taxi and get a standard ride? And how do you get one then from the hotel? We are going back to SNA, but considering a possible switch to LAX for return trip. Do they go that far as well? Are they a lot more expensive to go there?

Taxi between Disneyland to LAX is $100 or so, plus tip.

Flat rate taxi SNA to the Disneyland Resort area is $45. Metered is like $43.

Your hotel can also call a cab for you. I trust Park Vue to do this for me. I DO NOT trust Tropicana to call for a taxi, as they called me an unmarked shuttle, who's driver drove 85mph down the freeway while asking me to look out for cops so we wouldn't get pulled over.

I go solo all the time, and occasionally with DH and DD11, and we all appreciate the ease of the taxi.
