Shuttle to WDW

I never stayed off-site, so have a question regarding shuttles to WDW. The Hotel Royal Plaza and Hilton Disney World use the Downtown Disney Private Bus systems. I read that the drop-off is further from the gates than the Disney Resort drop-off. Where are the drop-off spots? I don't think I ever noticed them.
