For anyone who has used Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle's shared vans, was your experience with them good? I have heard about Super Shuttle circling the airport to look for additional passengers to fill the van & that is making me leary to book them. Does Prime Time do the same? Need to use a shuttle service though because our trip is expensive as it is. Thanks in advance for the help!

I heard the same thing about Super Shuttle. I have used Karmel Shuttle and I believe there is a $4 per person per ride coupon available - though I had to make my reservation and then call to get it applied to the reservation #. Both of us round trip we are saving $16.

Super Shuttle circles the airport to pick up its passengers. I think up to twice, but I don't remember where I heard that. When we ordered our shuttle at LAX the agent said the shuttle might circle the airport one more time for passengers. The shuttle picks up for Disneyland/Buena Park area so there are multiple drop offs. I was lucky, last on & first off, but you could potentially be first on and last off you just don't know. But I don't think you'll be circling LAX for hours waiting for more pickups if that's what your worried about as this isn't just for Disney hotels and encompasses the entire Buena Park/Anaheim area down there and super shuttle is a large outfit.

Anybody have any experience with Prime Time Shuttle?

I just responded to another poster - we usually rent a car and this last trip we tried the Disneyland Express and were EXTREMELY happy! The bus is large so we didn't worry about squishing or car seats for the kids. And the kids read books and looked out the window, we sat and chatted without worrying about traffic. It was awesome :)

And the best part was it was $20 round trip per adult with the AAA discount and kids ride free! :bitelip:

It comes every hour and we only waited about 10 minutes after our flight for it. I would recommend it.

That would have been good, except our hotel, Ayres Anaheim, is not on the list of hotels that Disneyland Express goes to.

We really like the Disneyland Express as well.

I asked on the other thread you posted on - did you get that rate online? When I use AAA as a code it only takes $5 each adult RT trip ticket from LAX which makes it $43 instead of $48. Did you fly into SNA or LAX?

Sadly, I'm a firm believer that there is no such thing as a "good" shuttle company. Honestly, it's all a matter of which driver you get on which day. We tried Karmel once and had a friendly driver on the way to the hotel but his driving was atrocious and we all were so sick by the time we arrived. On the way back to the airport, we had a grumpy driver who was slightly better at driving but was miserable. The next time we tried Super Shuttle on the way back to the airport and it was also horrendous. Bad driving, miserable, unable to understand or speak English. I could tell you horror stories of woman with young children running down busy airport roads trying to flag the shuttle driver who just drove right past them even though everyone else in the shuttle saw them waving at him. Okay, so maybe I did just tell you :goodvibes

Hiring a limo service or something similar, although about $40-50 more expensive is SOOOO worth the extra money in my opinion. Unless you luck out and get 2 great drivers, getting to the hotel sick and unhappy or back to the airport sick and unhappy makes for miserable family members.

We're flying into Orange County this time and using Karmel but it will only be for about 15-20 minutes so hopefully, it will be much more manageable. Sorry! Wish I had better experiences to share. Just go with low expectations and you'll do better than us :)
