shuttle or cab? cheapest?

From SNA is the shuttle or a cab cheaper? There are 5 of us and with a cab you don't pay per person right? We are going to PP..

The Unofficial Guide says if you have 4 or more people it is cheaper and quicker to take a cab. UG and Mousesavers say it will cost about $40 including tip. However, I've read elsewhere on these boards that some have paid as much as $48 before tip.
