We're going to spend a day or two at Universal with our June trip. If I booked through Mears, how far in advance do you have to book? How many hotels do they do pick ups at before they leave for the parks? Do you have to give them a time in advance that you want to leave the park or do you call them while you're there? TIA!! :goodvibes

You have to give them 24 hours notice
They do pick up at other hotels and how many is something I don't know
Once you book with them they wil tell you thier pick up times cause I believe they have set pick up times and thats the only thing about it you can't choose the time you want to be picked up .
Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. Do you know how often the set pick up times are?

I don't know anything about this, but I read it on another forum. Maybe it can help you. They were talking about the LYNX Transportation. It is a bus system in the Ticket and Transportation Center at WDW. It's supposed to be very inexpensive. Maybe some of the experts here can explain it better.

there is another thread in this forum about the mears shuttle.
check it out.

more info there than here.

about the lynx, it is not worth it.

we did it once as it was cheap.
it took 1.5 hours to do it.

take the lynx bus from dtd to sw.
get off and transfer to another bus.

get off that bus at the last stop where universal is near.

walk to universal or take a cab.

yes, it is cheap but who wants to spend 1 hour and 30 minutes
the worse part is, if you miss the bus connection from sw, you have to wait another 30 minutes for the next bus.

one bus leaves on the hour and the other on the half.
you have to time it if you want to go with lynx.

since you would be staying at disney, don't forget you would have to get the dtd bus from your resort to get to dtd lynx stop.
also add that time to your travel to get to UO.

It is very inexpensive but the trip usually takes more than an hour...it's just not worth it. Stick with Mears as the transportation between WDW and Universal.
