shuttle from San Pedro area to Universal

Is there a shuttle from the San Pedro area? We are staying at the Crowne Plaza, and are thinking of going a few days early before our cruise, so we can visit Universal (visiting DL after the cruise). Thanks.

I honestly think you might find it to be more inexpensive to rent a car. I've had pretty good luck with priceline or travelocity getting my daily rate down fairly low (like in the $30 range or even less), or if you have an entertainment card, you can try those discounts too. Shuttle service and taxis, etc around that area are pretty expensive, and the bus tours to Universal have a pretty limited time frame for the price you pay.

I've been doing a lot of price comparisons myself for the same reasons, and I keep coming up with a rental car being one of the best options (if we don't decide to drive)

I'm sure it would be more inexpensive, even once we pay for parking, to rent a car but we're hoping there is a shuttle and we can leave the driving to someone else, since we'll be tired and don't want to deal with a rental or driving on unfamiliar roads. That said, we might end up that way, since our hotel does have rental cars on property.
We also plan on taking a shuttle from the cruise port to the DL area and have found a shuttle from that area to our airport.

Does anyone know if there is a shuttle from that area to Universal? I'll be checking with the hotel tomorrow, in hopes that they know, but the first person I talked to last week, didn't seem to know what Universal Studios was.

You might consider staying at a hotel closer to DL for a couple of days, then moving to the Crowne Plaza for Saturday night. I know there's the Grey Line bus from Disneyland area hotels. You could check with the GreyLine site to see if they go from any hotels other than those, or call GreyLine directly. I suppose if all else fails, you could get a taxi from your hotel to a DL area hotel and catch the GreyLine there.
