We did the opposite...we were at a rundisney expo and wanted to leave. I didn't know about the hour's notice thing so I called them sort of expecting a quick pickup. They said that it would be an hour-ish. So I calculated the timing, and said 1.5 hours at SSR. Left WWofS in the rundisney bus, dropped off at the front of SSR, walked to our room, dropped our stuff and changed really quick, went back to the front, got some coffee, and then the shuttle was there. Perfect!
I used the shuttle in March for the first time. I was not aware of calling 24hrs in advance. I called the day of about 2 hours before I wanted to be picked up. It took nearly 20 minutes to get through on the phone in the resort lobby. When I finally got through to someone she offered us multiple pick up times within the following couple of hours. Funny, I selected a time and then she said to me "how many people are riding the shuttle?" I said two and she said she could have us picked up in 15 minutes if we were ready. OK, perfect, we went outside and the shuttle came along just a few minutes later with only 1 person on it. We got on and it went directly to the CCC. I thought there was only room for two more but the shuttle probably seated 10 and there were only 3 of us on it.
Anyway, I would consider booking at the CCC again BUT be sure to check the prices on the paperwork before signing and leaving with a car. They tried to over charge me by $30. I had a printed confirmation so they had to honour it. After the agent spoke with a manager she took the attitude that they were doing me some sort of favour. I also witnessed a lot of the upgrade hard sell to the other people ahead of me at the counter. That particular day the kiosk was out of order so everyone had to go to the counter. Perhaps the kiosk never works there...don't know.
