Are there any shuttles from John Wayne airport to Disneyland? How much are they? We are thinking about flying instead of driving but trying to figure out how much it would cost to get from the airport to the hotel (staying at Tropicana Inn).

We usually pay 10.00 per person for a shuttle, but this topic came up a few days ago and someone said to contact Karmin, who is cheaper, and they have a website. Also if you go to SuperShuttle you can often get a real cheap round trip rate if you put in your hotel address.

Karmel Shuttle is one good choice.

SuperShuttle is a choice; when you're looking into rates, use the feature where you find the *hotel*, NOT the zip code. Using the zip code gives you a higher rate than using the hotel name.

Disneyland Resort Express, run by Grayline, is also an option, but they have strict hours and pickup times, etc. Not as flexible.

Depends on how many you have. The Disneyland express bus has a family deal for $80 round trip. For a family of four, that is the same cost as the shuttle vans. Larger family, the price goes down. I've done both and time wise it seems to be about the same. Sometimes the van is quicker, but in every case we have used it they dropped us off last.

That's why Karmel is good because there won't be multiple stops:

We DO NOT loop & loop & loop the airport looking for additional passengers to pick-up. Isn't that worth it right there?

We are a reservation service only and provide services for pre-reserved reservations only.

We DO NOT make "multiple" stops along the way with our shared van service. Unlike other shared ride shuttle services who stop 3 to 5 times, we only stop a maximum of one additional time for residential service and a maximum 2 stops for Hotel service. Our goal is to get you there safely and quickly...not spend hours in a van!

I promise I don't work for them; I've just had really good service there.

I've done the bus and I've done SuperShuttle, and both have good sides and bad.

With Karmel I've had two really good experiences and one merely good experience*. So far it's a better track record than the other two. :)

*mainly an issue with communication combined with my lack of knowledge of exactly where LAX is and how to get there, so I was confused and he was silent...but he got us there at the right speed, without using on 3 phones at once (like SS drivers have done EVERY time I've used them...talking on two and texting on another at times during the drive, even after the texting ban), and we were perfectly on time.

We only needed transport from Hojo back to the airport for 2 adults and 2 kids as a friend picked us up from the airport on arrival. A taxi was a better bet for us at about $30-31. No extra stops anywhere!

How much in the way of baggage did you bring?

We had a sit/stand stroller folded, large suitcase, one standard carry-on size suitcase, a backpack, small duffel bag, DH's large briefcase, and DS's backpack. When the regular taxi car rolled up I wasn't sure it would all fit, but the trunk was huge!

Oh, and kids sat in their respective car seat and booster seats.

I have always had good experiences with supershuttle from SNA. Google supershuttle coupon code and there is usually a coupon for 3.00 off per person each way. so 7.00 each way per person.

I am trying to make reservations for Karmel and I can't find where to put in my coupon code, so I called and they said I had to do it online to use coupon code as she had no idea what it was. Also, it is 18.00 both ways from SNA to .carousel inns, how are people getting 10 trips?

Thanks!:confused3
