Shuttle Discovery sonic boom

Might have a good boom-boom at FW as Discovery lands today. Set to touch-down at 11:57AM.

Tracking has it passing south of FW after gliding over Sarasota. http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/524127main_KSC202_mid.gif

I miss the boom! I used to spend a lot of time in central FL. and had a friend whose dad was a real rocket scientist and he could time the booms down the second!

Us at the Fort indeed heard a very impressive sonic boom ! !

I was at work here in St. Pete today when the shuttle passed over. I had forgotten about the landing, but heard that boom.........boom! We turned on a TV and were able to watch the landing.

Excellent BOOM....BOOM today! There was enough bass and ground shudder to set off a car alarm.
