Does anyone have a possible estimate/average price for a shuttle or taxi from Orlando-Sanford airport to WDW?

A car service will charge you about $180-200 r/t..plus tip. Sanford is almost double the distance from WDW that MCO is...so you pay for the addtl time.
Can't say about a cab..I imagine they are going to be about the same as a car service. I would go with the car service.
There are no 'shuttles' from Sanford to WDW. You can always rent a car.

According to the Mears Taxi Fare Calculator, a cab would be about $113 (plus tip) one way. So round trip would run you about $275 - maybe more if traffic is bad. A car service would be a better deal, but beware of any that quote you a price significantly lower than $200.

Thanks a lot!

Just trying to see if it's cheaper to fly a cheaper airline to get to Sanford-Orlando and then use some sort of car service or just use Southwest to take us straight to MCO so we can use Magical Express.
So far it looks like a car service is the same price as a roundtrip plane ticket, so Southwest looks like the better deal.

Everyone has it spot on, there is definhttp://www.orlandohotelshuttles.comitely going to be a higher cost to fly into Sanford because of location.

If you want to compare hotel and airport shuttle rates to the Walt Disney World resort, you can compare about 30 companies, including Mears (the biggest) at www.orlandohotelshuttles.com. Depending on the size of your group, it is likely cheaper to book a round trip private car than to use a taxi or rent a car.

By the way, keep in mind that you can save more money if you book the roundtrip in advance, versus trying to go one-way each time.

If you only have two people, you're right, the Southwest deal will be cheaper - IF YOU STAY at a Disney Property. Remember, Disney Magical Express doesn't drop you off at the vast majority of hotels, including MANY that are on Disney property but aren't Disney owned.

A one way/one day car rental is likely to be the cheapest way to go from Sanford to WDW.

PP is correct, free DME only goes to WDW operated resorts. However Mears offers inexpensive shared ride shuttle service.
There isn't similar service available at Sanford.

There are several good companies that will do Sanford-WDW-Sanford for $180.00. Anything less than that might be a big if. You might check the Sanford Airport website to get the names of the companies that do business there.

We have a party of 10, 8 adults and 2 children do you think they could accomate our party? Do they do grocery store stops?

We have a large group of 10, 8 adults and 2 children can they accomadate us? Also, is there any companies that would stop for a grocery stop?

We have a new airline coming into NJ this fall that flies into Sanford so we are gonna compare prices vs. flying into Orlando.

Thanks :goodvibes

You would most likely have to hire a passenger van for that size group. They will, most likely, make a grocery stop.
I would figure on a fare of at least $200, not including tips, for a van large enough. Be sure you consider that when you are comparing airline costs.

Thank you! I will consider all costs when we figure out what works best for us. Is there any grocery stores that deliver or that we could fax deliver to...to make the pick up quicker?

Yo0u are right. Taxi's cannot accommodate 10 passengers. You need to hirw a van service. There are quite a fe sompanies listed on the Sanford Airport site that have a big van you will need. $200.00 is about the cheapest you will be able to find.

Try wegoshop.com or gardengrocer.com
Both good services. Yes, they charge a delivery fee, but it's about $15 or so...and they deliver right to the resort and if you're not there to accept the order, Bell Services will take it and store it for you.
I've used both before and been very happy.

That's great! I love these forums everyone is helpful and has wonderful suggestions.

Do I pay with credit card ahead of time and they just add on the delivery charge.
