Is there a place where I can find out the prices of photos before the cruise? I would like to purchase a family photo on formal night. Exactly how do you go about getting that photo taken? Do you schedule them or what?

the 6x8 pics are$9.95 each - they do have discounted packages available.
Any 10 6x8 photos: $84.95 (save $15 over individual photo prices)
Any 15 6x10 photos: $119.95 (save $30)
Any 20 6x8 photos: $149.95 (save $50)

The formal pictures are 8x10 and are $19.95.

There are photographers usually set up in the atrium just about every night for a few hours before dinner - the times are posted - the formal are done on formal night (of course) and those lines are alot longer.

They also take pics when you first get on the boat and various shots all over (mostly of kids) at different times and at the character breakfast.

Enjoy :fish:

By "formal pictures" do you mean the pictures taken of your family on formal night or do you mean any pictures taken of your family at a specific photo set-up on any night of the cruise? If the "formal" shots are any taken at a photo set-up station, then what are the 6x8 shots of?

the formal ones are the actual pics done on formal night of the family. they have the backdrops up a few other times during the cruise. the other 6x8 pics are when there are characters in the atrium where u can have your pic taken, or at the pools, or on castaway cay etc. most of the 6x8 are candid pics :)

So when they have the backdrops up a couple of other times during the cruise, are those done in 6x8 or 8x10? Thanks for all the help...trying to get my budget straight!!!! :D

you can have additional pics made in different sizes, except for photos taken on the last night.

They also came around in Tritons and took pictures of everyone. They were 6 x 8's Ours actually turned out pretty good. I was sitting at the table and they had my husband stand behind me. You can't see any food or plates or anything. I didn't plan on getting it, but when I saw it I had to have it.

What if you are on the Wonder-they don't have a formal night? Are there any opportunities for a family picture in front of the "formal" background?

Yes, they still have the backdrops set up in the Atrium on the Wonder. One of the backdrops has the Wonder in the background and there is another one that looks like you are standing behind a railing with a life preserver that says Disney Wonder on it. A picture of the ocean and the sky is behind you...so actually, if you think about it, it looks like you are standing on the outer side of the railing. like you are hanging overboard!!! I didn't notice it at first, but when we got home and I showed it to my mother, she jokingly said, "So did you have to climb over the railing to get this shot?" I haven't looked at those pictures the same ever since!

I think they have other backdrops too, but these were the only ones I bought. I was very disappointed that you could only get these in 8x10 since that size is really too big for me. I originally thought I would scan them and reduce the size, but I never got around to it.
