Hollywood Studios has no TS left available at all on 12/10 for dinner. They are closing at 7pm that night so i was thinking of making a dinner reservation at a resort but we will be taking a bus to hs and back to pop century that day.

I read that the caribbean beach resort is the closest resort to pop. Is that true? Is there any other resorts close by?

We will have our car and plan to drive from pop to dinner.

What about Shutters? How is the food? Is it kid friendly? Does anyone know their hours?

we stayed at CBR last fall and the pop did seem to be very near. while CBR is a beautiful resort to stay at and stroll around at, i strongly DO NOT recommend shutters. the food, the atmosphere, the service - all thumbs down. our last night of our vacay, our kids slept right through our dinner ressies that we had @ epcot. when they woke later, starved, we thought we would stroll on over to shutters to see if we could get in. at 8pm the quite rude and overworked hostess told us they "might" be able to get us in before 10pm closing. no biggie, after all, we did not have adr's made prior.

lucky for us :rotfl: , our buzzer went off shortly after and we were seated. our service was the worst we have ever had - in or outside of WDW, and the food was terrible. honestly, we were hungry and not out to be picky, but we barely touched our meals. we would never return to shutters or recommend it to anyone. we did love CBR, however! if you must dine here, go for the food court ;) .

if you have a car though, the boardwalk resorts are very nearby as well LOTS of yummy options there - we love spoodles!

forgot to add - they were open until 10pm last sept.
found them to be very un-kid-friendly (or maybe it was just our server :confused3 ).

you can scope the menu and read reviews at allears.net

Thanks! We will check out the spoodles menu on there too. I was thinking the boardwalk because we have never been.

Shutters was awful.Food gross, service abysmal.gave this place 2 tries..never again

Get the boat to the Boardwalk Swolphin or Yacht/beach club.
Bound to be something there to suit.

I guess we lucked out...we've been to Shutter's once but we loved it. We all ordered the same thing though (prime rib) so maybe the other dishes aren't any good. Our server was very nice and helpful...we really enjoyed it.

Boardwalk is lovely at night. Boardwalk bakery is open late for a snack to take back to your room if you skip dessert. Have a walk along the boardwalk after dinner - there are entertainers around and it's usually a really good atmosphere.
