I want to use a picture that was taken by a photographer on the ship for my Christmas card this year. I remember seeing a photography waiver sometime in the last year, on the Disney cruise website. Now I can't find it and need it so that the lab will duplicate the pictures. Does anyone know where to find it? :)

There was a link to an actual release form you could print and use but the link no longer works. Apparently you need to use the link about to have one sent to you. I need to go through my files and find my old release form.

Thanks to all of you for responding so quickly with the information I need!:)

Thanks for posting the link! I just used it and printed out a Copyright Release. It is only good for 30 days and 1 picture.

I can't get the link to work. Can anyone help me with this? Also, how difficult is it to get the waiver signed? Do you ask them to sign it? After they sign it do you just take the picture some where and have the picture scanned and reprinted?

Thanks

I just clicked on the link right now and the IMAGE site popped right up. Just fill in the information (cruise line and date), click on the button below and a form letter pops up and you print it out. Did the button not take you to a form letter after you filled out the information? Wish I could help more!

Just an FYI, I filled in the form, clicked the link and got the page to print.

But, here is what I did, I went to EDIT, clicked on SELECT ALL, then COPY and pasted it all into a WORD document.

I was then able to change the dates that I can use it in the future and also for more than one photo. Because who actually only buys ONE photo? LOL

Not sure why this is even necessary since the pictures were taken outside the United States, so copyright laws do not apply.

Does anyone know if you have to get that waiver signed? It doesn't look like it. Seems to be just a form letter than you can print at any time after the cruise and use it.

If you use an online website like ophoto or snapfish, you can just scan the photo in, upload it, and do your christmas cards.

Places like CVS ask for the waiver. Of course they questioed mine because I printed on a word. But I just showed them the phone number where they could reach the company and they said they just wanted to make sure they weren't going to be sued under copyright laws.

Thanks, I finally got the link to work. So, do you even have to have this form signed while on board? I mean there's not a place on it for anyone on board to sign.

Thanks.

Mindi

No, you don't need to have it signed. Also, when we used the same form 2 years ago for our Christmas card picture, it DID NOT state one picture only.

If I have more to print, I will just take that part out of the wording.

And, yes, they did want to have the letter when I used Walgreens and CVS to print the pictures.

I always waited until they had the buy one get one free coupons. They would let me use a few at one time.

This time, since I do have a scanner, I will probably scan it first and see how it comes out.
