Shutters Menu Change?!

We always thought Shutters, at Old Port Royale, had the best steaks on property. But, looking over the menu, it is all of a sudden completely different. Did this just happen? Is it a glitch? I can't find any information on it.

How long has it been since you've been there? The menu doesn't look changed from what we've seen in the past few months, but I know when we were at CBR in Spring of 2015 they said it had been recently put under new management and gone through some changes. Reviews since then have been very good.

Thanks for the response. We were there November '15 and the menu was different. And, when I reviewed the menu, maybe around June of this year, it was still the same. Char crusted Strip Steak was one item. They still have a strip steak and a ribeye but they are now seasoned different. Island theme now. I'm excited to try it as the steaks are still there, and probably still delicious, and the Jamaican spiced Ribeye sounds amazing. But, we loved this place before, so I hope that that continues.

I am pretty sure the menu has changed since I made my ADR 150ish days ago

^That would make sense as that would be Mid-June. I wonder why there was no promotion or mention of a menu change. Unless I missed it?

My hubby and I will be dining there while the kids are at Pirate camp in December. I had thought of getting appetizer and dessert because there was an app that sounded really good, but I can't find it, but I also can't remember what it was, lol Also I *think* there was a different no sugar added dessert.

It's not uncommon for favourite menu items to simply disappear without warning (LTT in the MK is a prime example that receiving a LOT of negative reaction currently). In a CYA move there is this line on the bottom of every menu on the Disney site

Menu items and prices are subject to change without notice.

Very frustrating to walk into a restaurant expecting something you discovered in your search before you made your reservation 180 days in advance is no longer being served. Menus can and do change abruptly from one day to the next.

Abruptly and sometimes without any notice online even after the change has occurred. Mother's Day last year we booked Le Cellier and I had 3 menu items in mind for my meal. I even looked through the menu that morning so we could order quickly as our meal was already on the late side for us. We showed up and nothing I wanted was on the menu. I prefer pork dishes and not a single pork dish was being offered. I was told they change their menu often. I knew they did seasonally but I didn't expect them to not update the website at all. I even checked the next day and following week and it was still the same menu from when I had booked the ADR months earlier.

Just to add, I LOVE Shutters new menu. We hadn't been in probably 4-5 years, and then went last December. The food was excellent! I now consider it a hidden gem! I understand that there is a new chef in town (relatively new as of last year) and I have to tell you the dinner was fantastic. Planning on going again this year!

We had Shutters in September and were blown away by how good it was.
