I'm interested in thoughts and experiences with this restaurant. The menu looks really good to me, and it's our "home" restaurant for our stay. I've read lackluster reviews from several years back, but it seems things have improved? Just curious if anyone has eaten there recently and what it was like. Thanks in advance!

We ate there in February and liked it. The food was hot and delicious. My daughter liked the empanadas and I had the fish. The dining room is right next to the food court. I think they open it up in the morning time for additional breakfast seating for the food court. I would eat there again.

Food is great, atmosphere...meh. For a caribbean place, you would think it would have a more open floor plan. The room we were in felt very enclosed.

I want to know also,
The first few years it was shutters was the best. The smoked prime RIB was the best on property at the time. But that was in 2003. Boy do I miss that place. Please any new reports. Hopeful.

Last September DH and I had an excellent meal. The wings were awesome. I had a flank steak. Its was really good, and that is saying a lot because I like my red meat medium well and it was not tough at all. It is a bit of a plain interior, but the food more than makes up for the boring décor. I have an ADR for our first night there this year, and I can't stop thinking about those wings.

Ate there last February and twice in September. Have another ADR for this September. Not a bad place to eat. Only issue was that the AC was too cold. Food was good though and they made my wife a gluten/soy/dairy free dessert that was excellent.

Check out the CBR resort thread. The consensus is that, since they got a new chef, the food has improved a LOT. We are staying there next month and have an ADR for Shutters based on these reviews.

We ate there twice during our stay in 2013 and had no complaints. I'm vegetarian and there was really only one option on the menu for me at that time. I didn't want to eat the same thing two visits in a row, so while I was debating what to get during our second visit the chef came out to talk to me about options. He ended up putting something together for me from a few different things on the menu, which I really appreciated. He also mentioned a couple of new menu items he was trying out, so I definitely got the feeling that he was making an effort. Very nice!

I ate there last April and while the atmosphere is just somewhat nice/ok, the food was surprisingly great. And I was an idiot and left my phone at the table. I was already back in our room before I realized, so it was probably 10-15minutes before I made it back to the restaurant. Our server had hung onto it and already told the front desk about it, so it took just a minute for them to find her and get it back to me. I was definitely impressed with that!

Yes. I've only read a few reviews since the new chef. But, they have all been positive.:-)

This is all very good to hear! I'm not sure if we'll be eating there or not now thanks to adding park tickets to our arrival day. My pre-dining plan dining plan seems to change daily. I'll be glad when I've finally made the ADRs and can stop obsessing over it! This one will remain an option until all is said and done!

We ate there in May and enjoyed it. I was concerned because of the negative reviews I'd heard but it was a nice meal; plus it was close to "home'!
