Shutter Island

I loved this movie also. I saw it twice on opening weekend. It was very different to watch it the second time, many things were not what they appeared before.
I'm gonna make DH watch it with me tonight so I can "catch" things. But after it ended, I thought back and I did pick up on a few things once I thought about it. Very well done movie. Kinda reminds me of The Usual Suspects. You end up scratching your head and then it hits you like a ton of bricks!!

We saw Shutter Island the weekend it came out. I had been seeing previews for over a year and had been eagerly anticipating it. I think it was delayed for whatever reasons. Anyway, we really liked it, and even bought the soundtrack at the bookstore across the street immediately after we saw the movie :thumbsup2.

I'm really surprised to see so many rave reviews on this one. We rented it last weekend. I normally like Leo movies. We just couldn't sit through this one. We gave it about 30 or 40 minutes and yanked it out. It was moving too slow and we couldn't figure out what the heck was even going on.

That was part of the point, you don't figure out what is going on until it's just about over.

OOOOHHHHHH NOOOOOO! You should have hung in there! Is there any chance you can give it another try tonight???

I watched the whole thing after I read the book. I didn't enjoy it at all. I felt that too much was left out and Leo D was annoying.

Tina, read the book and skip the movie.

Ok, so I just made DH watch it with me. I picked up on a lot of clues seeing it the second time. I'd love to discuss, but don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
