Shutter Island Discussion Thread

I just saw Shutter Island about 45 minutes ago, and my mind is still thinking about it! It was really that good!

I think that this was Dicaprio's best performance to date.

I don't want to do spoilers until it's been out a little longer, but boy do I want to talk about it! I still don't know what to believe or think.

Really amazing...

Seeing it Thursday after all my tests are over with. I can't wait. I have been seeing previews for this thing for almost a year, its been advertised so much.

I read the book a year and a half ago. I have been waiting forever for it to be released. I was so disappointed when it was pushed back 4 months. Needless to say I saw it Friday afternoon.

I thought it was excellent. Leonardo DiCaprio was at his best, which is saying a lot with The Aviator (he was ROBBED of the Oscar that year, IMO) and The Departed on his resume.

I am STILL thinking about this movie, even though I knew the ending and knew the clues to look for, it was just flat out creepy throughout and I loved that. I want to see it again but we'll see.

All of the cast was so good. Michelle Williams was great as Teddy's wife and Sir Ben Kingsley, Mark Ruffalo...all just great.

If you haven't read the book and you see the ending, it will probably confuse you so I would see it again to try and catch the clues because they are there.

I know it is rated R but besides some cussing (mild for a Scorsese movie) and BRIEF nudity, I would say it's pretty tame.

I'd recommend seeing this to everyone. It's not a feel good movie but definitely a movie worth watching.

I saw it last night! I liked it....although I wish it was scarier. But it really made me think, and I like that. I want to read the book now
I want to see the beginning of the movie again. Now that I know what happens at the end, I want to see how my perspective of everything changes.

All in all, it was a good movie.

It was really good!!!!!!!!!! The ending totally threw me, but I loved it! Great thinking movie! I would reccomend it to everyone!

i really like it! it wasn't what i expected it to be, but that's okay because it was still really good. the ending was really cool though. i love endings like that!

Yeah, I saw it saturday. I thought it was worth going to see. But I thought it would be scarier! The only part that actually make me jump was when they were searching the c building and the patient came running out! I thought the ending was a little hard to follow! But I liked how it turned out! Leo did a GREAT job! Since I am from Boston I dont think that he should of pushed the boston accent. But did a really great job!
