I think a big part of my problem is the size of our party - 8 this year.

Offer to be seated at two tables. The CRT staff are very good about pushing tables together, and there are next to no large tables in the reservation system. When I had to book a party of 8 there a few years ago, this made all the difference in the world for getting good times.

We were really lucky - DFB rang at the 180 day mark for the start of our vacation and we got all our ADR's except Shula's (have to do that one on the 180 day mark and not on the 180+10).

We have CRT for 1st thing in the morning on the day we wanted - I'm so excited!! We also booked Donald's Breakfast, WCC, Coral Reef, and Spirit of Aloha show (category 1). We're changing LTT to Garden Grill as they can't book anything the weeks were are on vacation after 5.30pm at LTT for some reason.

It must all be in timing, we will be arriving on 8/30 for 7 days and aside from a few minor things (eating a couple time past 8, table mix ups) we got most of our ADRs just fine (we only started making them this week). We wanted two tables for CRT, one for 5 and one for 4 but all they had left was 9 so we took it. As I said aside from little things we have been lucky. My advice is to just keep calling, you'd be surprised at what opens up even a month before your trip.
