Well after all the positive feedback I've gotten from this site regarding Shula's I've made ps for November today.

Now I'm looking for you favourite things that you have eaten whilst there.

Thanx.

Howie ~

Thanks for that, have been looking at the menu on wdwig but can't quite decide yet what I want to eat. Although I do fancy the Chocolate Souffle and Creme Brulee.

I'm thinking about making a PS for Shula's in November also. Does anyone have the # and how far in advance can you call? Thanks!

try this one 407-934-1362
and i usually make it with my other 120 days out PS's so give it a go now for nov;

Thank you Howie. Tomorrow starts the 120 day-out for the day we want. Now if I can only pin the rest of my clan down to decide...

Thanks, it is your glowing recommendations of Shula's that made us decide to eat at Shula's.

Quick question:

Has anyone ever taken their well behaved, house broken, table mannered, sick of mac 'n cheese, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, and corn dogs child to Shula's to eat? We're thinking of trying this restaurant with ds, but I don't want to spend the evening fending off the dagger eyes of others. I don't really care if there is a child's menu, since ds rarely eats off of a child's menu anyway (I've got a thing about the lack of green and the abundance of grease on child's menus, but that's another post).

Not sure how old your child is, but we will be taking our 10 year old and 2 year old with us on Nov. 29 for my mother's 69th birthday. She loves prime rib so there you have it!!! (We will also be dressed casually, for the record.)

Ds is 9 y/o, and eats at decent restaurants at home. I'm glad to see that other children frequent this restaurant. Hope you have a wonderful time celebrating your mother's birthday. What a nice place for a celebration!! I was planning on dressing ds in a pair of khaki's and a polo shirt. Does this sound appropriate?

Our menu when we dined at Shula's in March:
1 Martini- DH
1 Midori Sour- Me

Split Shrimp cocktail (well, didn't really split- DH ate it)
Split Caesar salad
Kansas City Strip- DH
Filet Mignon- Me
Creamed Spinach- DH
Potato Skins- Me, although I only ate half and had a bite of the creamed spinach

Everything was superb---tons of food, sides are MORE than enough to split- everything is just huge. My stomach literally hurt I was so stuffed. My DH got a cookie from the Gourmet Pantry later in the evening and I took a nibble but was still so full!

We are thinking of doing this one on our December trip this year and we will have 11 year old DS in tow. I had asked earlier and was told that Shula's does not charge a sharing fee for children. DS loves a "good" steak, but there is no way he could make a dent in one of their steaks so he and i will be sharing a "good" steak and baked potato. Hoping for room for desert that way. He is a mature, well behaved kid that goes where ever we go when on vacation.

I'm not a meat eater but I agree to go with my husband just for the chocolate souffle - it is my favorite dessert (so far) anywhere...
