Anyone have a Shula's Steak House review? My DD is a big steak eater and would like to take hime to Shula's Steak House.

I have had the pleasure to dine at Shula's in Miami - Shula's Original and Shula's Steak 2... they are all excellent ... the steaks are deliciousand if you like to go for the record you can try the 3lb steak!

We were disappointed with our visit there. Being from Oklahoma, we are used to very good quality beef. Shula's was just average when we dined there. The sides were large enough to share and very good, but the steak was not as good as we can get at our local meat market. The service was exceedingly slow. We much prefer Jiko, Artist Point and CG.

Steak was good but the price is high. :Pinkbounc

Oh here we go again!!! ;)

Lynn, please tell me you've had the Charred NY Strip at FF just so I know you've at least tried what I believe to be the best individual steak at WDW. Also, the filet mignon at Jiko is served without a steak knife...Quite a bold statement I'd say, but guess what? It wasn't needed.

Shula's is great for overall steak quality (generally) but I've eaten at WDW Shula's twice and was not impressed. I've eaten at Shula's in Miami twice and was impressed.

A big debate in the past had Shula's beating all others including Morton's and Ruths' Chris...I just ate at a Ruths' Chris in N. Palm Beach last week and it was better than Shula's, IMO.

I'm not Lynn, but I've heard others say the steak at the FF was the BEST on property so I tried it my last trip. Is is usually so fatty? I literally cut off a piece of the steak, put in it my mouth, and then bit down into a mouth full of fat. GROSS!!

The steak parts that didn't have so much fat were good and the sauce was a wonderful complement, but I ended up cutting away about half of the "not so big" to begin with steak.

But since so many others have said the steak at the FF is great, I wonder if I just got a "bad steak".

PS - I loved the filet at Jiko. Wonderful steak. I've never been to Shula's. The best piece of beef I've had at WDW was one awesome piece of Prime Rib at Le Cellier, but it wasn't the same the next time I went there

Shelly, I've had a bad steak (like you've described) at FF myself. Hey, it's steak and no retaurant is perfect. Plus the nature of the strip is that of a steak with more fat, especially on the ends (tip)...But at FF I'd simply send it back, they'd understand totally...Plus, I'd add that usually this steak is very large so that's unusual... home, you didn't say why you weren't impressed so I won't comment except to say that the FF steak has a huge and loyal following but I reiterate, nothing is perfect.

Shula's steaks all are good quality but this comes at a dear price and none of my Shula's steaks rate in the best I've ever had quality (as does Ff and Ruths' Chris for example).

Okay, we're from Oklahoma too and we thought Shula's was outstanding steak! Best meal we had all week (and we ate at Le Cellier too).
Of course I see that you're an OU fan. Need I tell you we're OSU alumni? Maybe we just have different tastes in general... :earboy2:

We went to Shulas this spring. We have been lucky enough to eat at a lot of high end steakhouses, Ruths Chris, Mortons etc. We both thought that the Schulas in the Dolphin was right up there with the best steakhouses we have ever eaten at. The biggest variable in Disney reviews seems to be partially based on the cost factor. Shulas is not cheap but it is not overpriced IMO. The only thing I would suggest is to read the menue out front before you dine. The football menue was a little cheesy but the steaks and service were great. We ate at the FF on the same trip. We plan to give FF another chance but we would pick Shulas over the FF.

In Chicago there is a Shula, Ruth Chris, Morton's, Eli's as well as at least 6 more great steakhouses. Shula's was as good as any of them. I have never had a bad meal in any of them and I find them all pricey. It is quality meat and you pay for it.

Just ate at shulas at WDW this oct.---we liked it so much we're having our wedding reception there next oct. ( we go to disney every year --best steak there ) I dont know why we never ate there before? but we'll make a point of it from now on.

I have to agree with Pete. The NY strip steak at FF is wonderful. We have never had a bad steak at FF and we eat there at least 4xs a year.
We have also eaten at Shulas at WDW. It was very good but we like the steak at FF much more.

We are big Shula's fans. We got engaged there on our first visit and have gone back 2 more times. I can't get away from the cowboy steak YUMMMMM!
