My family ate at Shula's on Friday (2/4). Me, wife and two daughters (21 & 17).

Very good experience again.

We shared two apps between us. Lobster Bisque, which was very good. We live in the Keys and have had better but this gets a solid A-/B+. Good sized portion. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. It was good, no real complaints but nothing special either. B-

My wife and youngest daughter shared the 32 oz. Prime Rib. It's still as big as your head and was a great piece of meat. Tender, flavorful and cooked to order (medium rare). The only complaint was that they didn't plate it for two as they have in the past. A.

My oldest daughter had the Steak Mary Ann, which is two 5 oz. filet medallians. If you're a filet eater this, with the Mary Ann sauce, is hard to beat. A.

I had the 16 oz. NY Strip med. rare. Cooked to perfection, tender enough and quite flavorful. Not the best I've had (consistently I like Ruths' Chris better) but this equals The Palm, Flemings and the other top tier houses. B+.

For desert we had the Chocolate Lava Cake. It was simply decadent and large enough for all 4 of us. A.

Our service was among the best we've had at this Shula's, which has sometimes been spotty. A-.

I had two beers (Stella) and a glass of Cohn Cab (excellent), daughter had a Clos du bois Merlot (so-so) and wife had a beer (Stella).

Price after TIW, $215.00.

Thanks for posting the review. It all sounds yummy to me! Hope to find a night to go there next trip. :goodvibes

Thanks DiggleBelle! I thought I'd finally ticked off everybody around here.

Pirate--I care!!!

And I enjoyed the review. Headed to Shula's ourselves when we go down in early May...

Thanks for the review. We are going to Shula's for the first time in October, for our 29th anniversary. You mention sharing and getting 2 plates in the past. I thought I read that there is a plate charge for extra plate when sharing. Can anyone confirm? Thanks again!!

Thanks for the review! We will be dining at Shula for the first time in April at my DH's request. I think I will give the Steak Mary Ann a try!

We are hoping to eat here for sons 12th birthday in november so was very interested in your review. He just wants to eat steak and chocolate cake for every dinner so thought this one might do the trick.

I've been wanting to give Shula'a a try- thanks!

Have you been to Yachtsman? I was wondering how they compare?

Good to hear about Shulas. I have an ADR there in April. :)

Shula's hands down, IMO. The prices are very equal but Shula's serves a better cut of beef (The Shula Cut). That said Yachtsman does have pleasant ambiance and an enjoyable meal can be had BUT if you know and appreciate your steak then Shula's is the only choice on property, again, IMO.:dance3:

Thanks for the post, I have wanted to try Shula but last time we went to Disney we went on DxDDP but we will try it next trip.

Thanks! Is it kid friendly? I have a 10 and 12 yr old. They loved Yachtsman last trip and have been begging to go again. I have an 12 yr old who has developed quite to taste for a fine steak

They certainly get their share of kids and there never seems to be an issue. Seems like I did hear there is no kids menu though. Maybe someone can verify that?

They allow--but do not prefer-children. There is a childs menu, but you need to ask for it. It is VERY limited.
I can list what little they have if anyone is interested.
