Shula's Menu Options

We would like to dine at Shula's on our next visit.

I am a big fan of filet and lobster tail, however I cannot eat a lot of food in a single sitting. I saw steak and seafood on their menu, but no portion sizes were mentioned.

Does anybody have pictures of the steak and seafood entree or know what the portion sizes are?

For the surf & turf, which I last ordered a few years ago but I seem to recall was a special, I feel like it was an 8oz. filet mignon and a pretty hefty sized lobster tail (at least 8 oz., maybe a bit more). It was absolutely delicious, but I don't think many people would describe the portions (or the prices) at Shula's as "small". One saving grace for you might be that the entrees are served a la carte, so you can forgo the sides if you'd like to save room, but you're still looking at a pound of food with just the filet and lobster tail.

For the straight filet mignon, I seem to recall the smallest cut was 12 oz.

Sorry I don't have any pictures. It was very delicious!

I've never eaten at Shula's, but just about every revue I've ever read suggests skipping lunch and showing up for dinner very hungry. Then consider a doggie bag.

I've been to the one in Chicago. I had a filet, normal size; however, the bone in prime rib and porterhouse steaks may as well have been roasts. HUGE! Here's some pix from their website for the Disney locale:

Exceedingly pricey...FYI

Now I am drooling. :cloud9:

Not too worried about the pricing. My husband and I just want to have a nice dinner with one another. :lovestruc

NOTES:
Shula's is at the Dolphin Resort, thus just a little inconvenient
unless coming from DHS or Epcot. The restaurant is not owned
by Disney. Shula's is a chain and this eatery does not disappoint.
Beware, it is pricey. Go hungry, as the portions are large. As a side
note, the wife and I frequently split entrees.

Their "standard" Filet and Lobster tail is pretty large.

However, from time to time they have a special that has a petite filet (6 oz I believe) and a smaller lobster tail. It isn't always listed on the menu and you should ask your server if it's available.

Thanks for the tip, I will do that. I would share it with my husband, but he is not a fan of shellfish.
