I just got back from my passholder preview of Shrek 4D at Universal Studios set to open up to the general public on this Thursday. I must say Philharmagic has a lot to live up to. This was the best 3D movie I have seen. My girlfriend was with me and she used to work at Honey I Shrunk the Audience and even she said this was ten times better. From the overly themed preshow that broke away from the old "JUST VIDEO" style stuff that we have been use to. To the 3d movie that was in your face the whole time. AWESOME!! Also the seats movie ALOT. HATS OF AGAIN TO UNIVERSAL. I HAVE ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FAITH THAT THE MUMMYS REVENGE WILL BE THE BEST RIDE IN ORLANDO. Especially after reading some of the dismall reviews of the puke inducing Mission Space. Please Disney step it up.

It's pretty obvious you're out to slam disney and your a fan of universal - just not sure why you feel the need to post here on the disney board.

you're using one of the first immersive 3d movies ever as an example - HISA is over 10 years old! Do you really expect them to compare?

And just what do you expect with Philharmonic - it's in Fantasyland! It's a kid's attraction and I highly doubt it's going to be "in your face" the whole time - but rather an enjoyable experience for families.

Maybe It's Tough to be a Bug would be a bit better to compare, but again, different target market.

And just where are you reading the dismall reviews of Mission Space - so far, the ones I've read have all been excellent and entirelly original - should get points for that.

I have no doubt that Shrek is phenomenal, and I also love Universal, but the target markets are entirely different. There is a need for both resorts.

Why can't you just let both parks do what they do best and enjoy them for what they are? I do.

Post a link to those dismal reviews please, because I have only been able to find one, and that was from somebody who knew they were susceptible to motion sickness, ignored the very clear warning signs, and rode anyway.

I'm moving this thread over to the Universal Studios Board for consistency sake. Thanks for posting your review.

Don't really want any spoilers, but would like to know - does anything touch you during the Shrek show (like the "mice" in HISTA or "bees" in ITTTBAB), or is it only visual? Thanks!

Yes there are things that touch you, blow you, and all new to 3d movies MOVE YOU. With no seatbelt required I might add. Also the jabs at Disney are hilarious. By the way to the guy a couple of threads up. HELLO!!!! SHREK WAS A KIDS FILM TOO!!!! IT WOULD SEEM TO ME LIKE THE SAME AUDIENCE AS PHILHARMIGIC. I would also like to point out that I have seen many a review at WDWMAGIC, SCREAMSCAPE, OH AND ALSO I AM A PART TIME CASTMEMBER AND HAVE SPOKEN TO AT LEAST 5 CAST MEMBERS THAT HAVE RIDDEN MISSION SPACE. NOT ONE SAID IT WAS THE BEST NEW ATTRACTION IN ORLANDO. AS A MATTER OF FACT MOST SAID WAS A GLORIFIED GRAVITRON FROM THE FAIR! ALSO ANOTHER REVIEW ON ONE OF THOSE SIGHTS SAID THE VISUALS WERE PLAYSTATION 2 LIKE!!!! READ BEFORE YOU SAY THERE IS ONLY ONE NEGATIVE POST ABOUT THAT ATTRACTION!!!!

There was a passholder preview of Shrek 4D going on this morning, (Sunday, 6/8), by noon, however, it was open to the public. We saw it and thought it was pretty good.

Thanks for your review. I'm definitely looking forward to trying Shrek and Philharmagic (and not so much Mission Space but that's a stomach issue ;) ).

Before you take the guy who said it was "Pretty Good", you should read this websites main review at www.usfinfo.com who said it was awesome and something new to the 3d movie world.
