If we stay on the ship while docked in Nassau, will the shows be available to go to see? What else is there to do onboard beside the pool. It will just be me and my dh.

Which shows are you referring to? Most of the live entertainment (production shows/individual entertainers) are at night, during the dinner hours.

There will be some activities onboard while the ship is in port. You can check past Navigators to see what sorts of activities have been offered in the past. Here's the link: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/personal-navigators/

Shows as in with live entertainers? Nope.

Spa, fitness center, walk around Deck 4's promenade, Aqueduct, there might be a movie in the theatre, Funnelvision, if on the Dream Midship Detective agency...

Sometimes they have limited hours for the Aqua Dunk / Aqua Duck while in port. We skipped a port on the Magic last year to enjoy the ship without the crowds and were disappointed that the AquaDunk was closed for a large portion of the time.

We only did a morning excursion, and my parents didn't get off the ship, but we still found things to do. I know my parents saw Moana that morning, or maybe noonish, so if a movie counts as a show - there is probably that at some point during the day. We did some craft activities in the afternoon; I'm positive my dad did the beer tasting that day, b/c he opted not to get off the ship to go to Pirate Republic as a result, so probably some type of alcohol tasting will be in the afternoon. Trivia, character m&g, definitely "stuff" to do. Some times it's just nice to wander around the ship without aim, just to see everything, without people around! Take time to look at the art in the stairwells, etc.

The live shows are at night and generally happen regardless of port. Check the schedule because some port days don't have a true live show. We recently did a Nassau stop and there were tons of activities on the ship. Disney realizes many people have done Nassau and don't leave the ship. Of course, each cruise is different so make sure you have the DCL app on your phone to look ahead to each day.
