Hi everyone,

I have a 9:30 am reservation for Chef Mickey's this Friday. I really would like an earlier time slot, like 8am, but I have not been able to find one in my months of seraching. Have you had any experience with showing up early for a reservation? Is it possible we can be seated earlier?

Thank you!
Stacie

I have shown up for ADRs as much as 30 to 40 minutes early several times. They always tell us they can't guarantee we will be seated before our scheduled time, but we have always been seated within 20 minutes tops. Usually more like 10.

There is a chef mickeys up for Oct 3rd for 7:05 am, don't know if that is too early though...

It's hit or miss and depends on how busy the restaurant is and whether they have room to accommodate you. In my experience, they will do what they can to accommodate you, but they may not be able to so it's best to go with the expectation that you'll have to go back at your ADR time. I have been told to come back 15 minutes before my ADR in the past.

I've had it work, and I've sat until past my original ADR time. If you're going during a busy time, I wouldn't try to get in earlier unless you've got a way to entertain everyone if it doesn't work out. The time we sat and waited was okay because we were at a resort with good ambiance and our feet were tired of walking. We sat and listened to musicians, people watching, with a beverage while we waited :)

It is worth a try, but there is no way of knowing if it will work. I have been seated early, and have waited, past my ADR time.

That is what I was thinking too. Would the family be ok with hanging out for an hour and a half if you couldn't get seated early?
