So I recently started dating this really great guy who happens to have a major photography hobby. The other day after my matinee performance of The Mikado, we did a photoshoot outside of me modeling my amazing geisha girl costume and make up. I'm thrilled with these and wanted to share them!

WOW! Nice costume. Makes you realize not all the artists are on stage. Costumes, sets, lighting, sound, orchestra/audio, stage manager and tech crew and on and on...

I also try to shoot my wife's theater group. You have some great shots there. I hope you do not mind I tried a little photoshop to give it that pro photo shoot lighting, hehehehe

I can see the differences when I make adjustments, but I am not always sure if they are for better or worse. What do you think?

adjustments were:
levels
brightness
contrast
saturation

now that I look at it again I think the shoulder area got a little too bright.

Beautiful :thumbsup2, thx for sharing! :goodvibes

Well, there you are! I heard about Mikado, then nothing more. Pretty pictires. I hope you're having fun with this show (it sounds like you're in one show after another. Will you get a break soon?)

break a leg!

Nice work Mikeeee! I like your touch-up.

Lovely photos. I love G & S. What part did you sing? I used to sing with a G & S Workshop and was Peep-Bo many long years ago.

Well, between 6 day work weeks for the past month, rehearsals, and dating- I've barely been home! This is the first time I've done 2 shows in a row like that since 9th grade. I haven't been cast in anything else, but I'll likely audition for Sweeny Todd at the same theater for the fall. Doing shows makes for a crazy schedule sometimes, but I've been so much happier since I've been involved in theater again. I was getting seriously depressed with my life for a while there.

Mikado has been going well- we opened last week, and this weekend I go on in the lead role while the other girl is out of town. My parents are even flying in to see me! They haven't seen me in a show since college. I'm both extremely excited and nervous.

I don't always share a lot with the DIS anymore. I rarely get more than a scattering of responses and the thread ends up being pushed way down.

Nice touch up on that one photo BTW, Mikeee.

Very nice photos. Wishing you the best and have a great time as the lead. Congratulations!!

Or as I tell my wife when she is going on stage, "break their leggs"!

(she is italian) heheheheheee

Wow, what an elaborate and beautiful costume! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying doing theatre again--I know from years back that it's a real passion of yours. These are great pics!

Those are great, Angie!!! Glad your new beau was able to capture the beauty of it all, and you too. You have the look.

Hope all is well.

Well, for most of the run, I'm a soprano in the ensemble, but this weekend I'm Yum Yum!
