Visiting Disneyland for the first time with 3.5yo, 5.5yo girls.
Seems all the shows are around 9pm. Is it worth it to keep the kids awake for that? Especially that we need to wake up early for the park the next day. Also is there enough action for this age for 30 minutes of a show?
If you answered yes what are the best shows / parade for them, and what is the best place to see them (e.g. reserved seats after a dinner). We reside in the Grand Californian hotel so easy access is a bonus.

Thank you!

Yeah, it's so hard with the nighttime entertainment and then wanting to get up early for rope drop the next day. When is your trip? The parade will be going away at September 2nd, but Is definitely one I'd stay for if you can. Very cool.

I also would recommend World of Color in DCA. That is a really fun show.

How many days are you going to each park? If multiple, might be worth it to not rope drop every day so they get enough rest after the shows.

In California Adventure Hollywoodland has several shows that are good for young kids. Disney Jr. Dance Party is a live show that plays throughout the day. Mickey’s Philarmagic isn’t a live show, but is a 4D show that young kids will enjoy. Turtle Talk with Crush is an interactive show that young kids will enjoy.

In Disneyland Tales of the Lion King plays throughout the day and it will keep kids entertained. Also the Tiki Room is a fun show from Walt’s time.

The live shows are scheduled based on the day so you need to check the entertainment schedule for those. The other shows start at different intervals throughout the day.
