Showers in the Caribbean typical daily?

I've been keeping an eye on the forecast in the Caribbean for the coming week and the 10-day outlook is forecasting a 30 percent chance of showers everyday. I'm thinking that this is typical in that area and doesn't necessarily mean it'll be cloudy and rainy everyday.

Can anyone give me some input on this?

Yep, that is pretty typical and definitely DOES not mean you'll get a day-long deluge. Afternoon showers pop up and roll through pretty quickly. You may get some rain or you may get none at all. Rain was predicted for our December trip many days and we didn't get a drop.

Thanks Michelle! I kinda thought the same thing, but wanted to hear it from a recent cruiser to ease my mind : )
