Help!
I can take a shower deep in the woods with a 16oz bottle of water.

My wife however is a Marriott kinda woman.

She hates the showers in RV's we rent (too small) and is really concerned about the showers at WDW Fort Wilderness.(No privacy)

I said, "It's Disney! It must be nice".

She says, "I hate public showers and the lack of privacy even if they have doors that lock securely."

What can I tell her about WDW and FW?

This should be proof enough that the Fort Wilderness showers are great-even my teenager loves them. Yes, the girl who believes a quick shower runs thirty minutes instead of fifty. Who then continues to "get ready" for another hour.
When we camp at Fort Wilderness, she always heads to the bathhouse instead of getting a shower in our rv, and trust me, rv bathhouses have to pass the-no dirt, not even one bug, look clean, nothing at all quirky about them check.

Well, theres a door, small changing area, and a shower curtain separating shower from changing area. Nice tile. Always hot water. And clean.

The only thing that bothered me about the FW comfort station was the mother who brought her school-aged son (9-10 years old?) into the ladies side to take his shower. This was discussed in length last fall. I can understand pre-schoolers; but, if a boy is old enough to ride his bike alone around the loop, he's old enough to take a shower by himself on the men's side.

The showers at the Fort are awesome.

I cannot say the same for ALL the people and their children who visit the Fort.

The showers at the Fort are really nice!! As far as privacy, I don't know what to say. You walk into the stall with clothes on, you lock the door, take your shower, then put clothes back on. You are very private.

Having said that, I do wish that the Fort had some "Family Shower Rooms" similar to the family restrooms in the parks.

For the reason stated above, mom with 9yo son, single dad with young daughter and also disabled adults that may need assistance from their spouse.

I agree! I can't believe they haven't done this yet, as there are so many that need assistance. The showers are very private & clean. I only had one time in years where I didn't think they were clean (I waited until about 11am, so they'd been busy all morning). I simply waited for another person to finish & used that shower. Oh, and I am super super super picky!! I'm the Sheraton & Crowne Plaza kinda gal & having managed hotels I know exactly what to look for. Have never seen any issues with the Fort's showers.

The showers at the Fort are great! I used them twice daily

whether I needed it are not. :cool1:

Does every comfort station noted on the FW map have showers? We're restoring our trailer, but aren't sure if the "facilities" would be fully online by the time we want to visit FW so being close to bathroom/showers would be great.

yes, all comfort stations have showers. 3, plus one handicapped shower, for women, and the same for the men

The only Loops that do not have comfort stations nearby are 600 and 700.

I just heard Uncle Orvil from Carousel of Progress when I read that :-)

Thanks! That's what I figured. She'll be happy to hear that.

I don't mind the RV sprinkler shower, but at 6'1" 260, it gets kinda tight, like an airplane restroom.:sad2:
