Showering at the gym/spa

I'm sure an expert will respond very soon.

The fact is that the showers are shared between the gym and the spa. The gym is open to all passengers (adults) at any time along with the amenities of the gym. The showers are a part of those amenities, therefore, use of the showers at the gym, which is situated next to the spa, but not IN the spa are open to all passengers.

Towels, soaps, lotion, lockers, robes and slippers are also included as a gym amenity in the locker room.

I have a few women friends that said they prefer using the gym showers over the stateroom showers and use them without actually going to the gym.

i have use the showers both after workouts and just to advantage of nice shower heads they have.
you can go in anytime they are open and use them.
you paid for it when you paid for your cruise.

While I do not mind showering in the stateroom at all, I do shower in the locker room after using the gym and sauna. In 12 cruises I have never waited for a shower and no one was ever waiting for me to get done. There was only 1 time that there was someone using one of the other showers when I was there. Perhaps I would have a different opinion if I had to regularly wait but I guess I don't see any issue now.

You learn something new everyday. :)

I have used the gym before and knew the showers were there, but I never considered showering in one of them before. I just went back to my room and took one there.
And let it be noted that I didn't work hard enough to be a burden to anyone on the elevator. lol

However, I think I will give them a whirl when we sail at the end of January. Especially if my 14 year old decides to set up camp in the shower in our room.

And I tend to agree that since using the gym and all its facilities is paid for with my cruise fare, then by all means I will feel free to take advantage of those services. But with discretion of course. If I enter the shower area and see other people waiting for the showers, I will certainly go back to my room. And I would never consider taking a longer shower than I would at home, even though it would be tempting from the description of the amenities.

Thanks for the heads up/reminder!
