Showboat AC reviews?

We are planning to stay at Showboat next month for a friends 40th birthday. I have gambled here but never stayed. I'm looking at some pictures online and some rooms look pretty old fashioned and some look redone and nice. Any reviews? Is there a section that is newer or renovated that I should request? Thanks for any info!!!!

I've stayed there before on comps. The rooms are okay. You may want to look into the House of Blues suites. I think the DBF has stayed there for bachelor parties.

Try for a room or suite in The Bourbon Tower. They have been renovated more recently than the Orlean Tower. I like Showboat, hope you have fun.

I have only stayed in the Orleans Tower. Rooms are clean but not updated. I hear the Bourbon Tower was renovated. Are your rooms comped?

No rooms are not comped. As a matter of fact I'm now freaking a bit because the room has gone up $100 since I looked it up last Thurs. We did not book because the friend has a tendency to change their mind and it would be our luck to book in one place while everyone stays elsewhere... So we waited for the confirmation and now the room went up. Aye yi yi.
