Inspired by Bob's hunt for her perfect dress, I thought it would be fun to show our wedding dresses. I'll start with mine from 1985 - Laura Ashley styles were all the rage, but I do think it makes me look like Mrs Tiggywinkle.

Libby you don't look like Mrs Tiggywinkle!

That was all the fashion in the mid 80's - I was a bridesmaid for my brother around that time and my dress was almost identical to yours - except it was bright YELLOW!!! The dress was fine but the yellow was hideous!

I will have to post one of my wedding pics but it's on the other computer so I will do it later.

Thanks Bob, it was great for holding me in ;) but was slightly uncomfortable to eat in so I ended up getting changed later on in the night.

I love your dress! You looked stunning!

I love weddings too......:cloud9:
Thanks Claire, looking forward to seeing your bridesmaid dress :rotfl: I remember my sisters wedding my hair was huge with like an acid type perm oh dead god it was awful and I had to wear ballet shoes and the heavens opened that day :sad2: lol

Ok, now control yourself from laughing too much, it was early 1990, we had no money, so the dress was hired, It was a rush job (if you know what I mean), still at the time I thought I looked great:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh My!!!!Not sure which is worse, me or my mums curtains:rotfl:The shoes believe it not not were lace at the front, and cost 99p:laughing:

Some lovely dresses there girls :) (and Sue ;))

The pics of my first wedding dress are very similar to yours Sue - very puffy and flowery. Fortunately, this was before the days of digital cameras so no way of posting here. However, here are both of my wedding outfits from this particular marriage :rotfl:

Here are two from my wedding in 2001.....we were sweltering in the 98 degree heat!

My hubby looks so young...he was 27 when we got married! Not anymore...must have something to do with being married to me! :rotfl:

You can't really see the detail in the top of my dress but it had crystals individually sown all over.
