What are the show times for both early and late dinner? What time does pirate party start? If we have mate seating will we be rushed? I want to get to the party early to stake out a good spot.

Normally 6.15 pm and 8.30 pm for an hour.

So Early/main you have dinner normally at 5.45 and show at 8.30.
Late is show 6.15 and dinner at 8.25 pm.

Pirate party the main bit with fireworks is on at 9.45pm. Main gets out of their show around 9.30pm, Late dinners May feel rushed yo get out by 9.45.

Yes, just show up. No one checks if you're at the right show. Technically you could eat at the buffet and go to the "wrong " show. ...but if everyone decided to do that, the theater would be a crowded mess!

Hi,
I would like to add something. If you the late seating for dinner, and you are worried you may not get a good spot for the pirate night fireworks, you can ask your sever if they could please send a dessert up to your stateroom. This way you do not have to feel rushed or stressed to get up to deck 9 or 10 for the pirate party and or the fireworks at sea.

I've never heard of the MDR's sending your food to your cabin?
I thought that was reserved for concierge pax? Can you ask for your main to be sent there instead of the desert?

I don't think they can deliver food/ desserts to your cabin if you are not there.
But the buffet after the show has desserts

I agree.
This does sound like a concierge pax utilizing status to get special treatment.
Otherwise, wouldn't everyone with a balcony cabin ask for their desert to be delivered? And how many staff would that take!

Regarding desert, you can request your server to give it to you with the cover and you can take it to your room.

Also, the pirate party is done differently on each ship. The classics only have the later party. However, the new ships have a Mickey & the gang party between dinner seatings, approximately 7:30-8:00. The POC themed deck party is at 9:45-10:30 with the fireworks. I think that someone posted the earlier party was being tested on the Magic recently, but I think it was for a limited time.

Hi,

Clarification, on our first cruise in 2005, we told our server that we were planning to skip dessert to get a spot at the pirate party. She said okay. That night a cheesecake was waiting for us at our cabin. we did not ask her to do that and it was a one time thing. Nevertheless, this is just a WONDERFUL and MAGICAL example of Disney Cruise Line Service!

Ah, I get it now.

Those one time MAGICAL moments, not a you can ask service :)
When you say things like "you can ask your server" it does make it sound like an unknown service!
