Can all of you please tell me what your show preferences(Dreams, Hercules etc.) are in order? I would like to know what shows not to miss. We have late seating and I want to make sure my daughter doesnt miss the good shows while still being able to participate in the activities at the kids club. I already know I dont want to miss Dreams, are there any others I need to be sure not to miss, or one that I dont need to bother with. Thank you very much!

There are plenty of activities for your daughter to enjoy in the kids' club at all hours of the day/evening. The family shows are so entertaining that I would not concern myself with any other scheduled diversions.

My favourites are Hercules and Disney Dreams, I also liked the Ghost Ship, but didn't like the magician's show.

BTW,
perhaps you should rephrase this thread as a poll. It's easier to answer for the people and also easier to evaluate for you.

Hercules - Dreams - Morty

They are also shown on your stateroom TV if you happen to miss them. What's great about seeing them on TV is that you get close ups that in the stage presentation you will miss.

Dreams, Herc - the Muse He Cal, the variety shows, Mousekateer. Morty. That being said, we figured our DS wouldn't care for the variety shows so we let him go to the clubs during them. To determine if you children would like the variety shows, they usually do a condensed, family show around 7pm. This won't work for the Welcome Aboard show since the performer is up at the WD Theater performing. But you can get a preview of the performer for the last nights show.

We love Hercules and wouldn't dream of missing it -- very entertaining!

do not, DO NOT miss "Disney Dreams!!" On the cruise we were on last year, they decided to add a matinee in addition to the evening show. Needless to say, we went both times and thanks to a tip I got from reading one of Barb's threads, I can now watch it whenever I want and relive the magic of the show - and I do watch it quite often! ;-)

I'm a bad, bad DH!!

I loved Disney Dreams, but I'm in the minorty, b/c I didn't care for Hercules. IMHO there was just too much adult humor.

Disney Dreams is my favorite, and in my book should not be missed!

Disney Dreams has my vote. I'll never forget the wonder in DD's eyes as Tinker Bell sprinkled Pixie Dust over us or the question that followed "Does this mean we can fly??" A moment not to be forgotten!:p

We don't have children, so for us it is great to have some entertainment not be geared mainly towards the little ones.

We also love the music in Hercules...some of our favorite Disney songs are from that movie. "I Can Go the Distance!"

This board is so wonderful and I Thank You all so much for your quick and informative replys. My husband teases me all the time saying i'm going to know so much about the cruise before we get there it is not going to be much fun. I dont think that will be true. :D

WE HAVE THE EARLY DINNER SEATING, WILL WE MISS THE SHOWS? DO THEY RUN TWICE A DAY?

maria: yes they run twice a day - while you are eating, us late dinner seaters will be watching the show and why you are done eating you go to the show and we go eat. In our case, they did a special afternoon performance as well (not sure why) so they ran the show 3 times that day!!!

makaylee: yes, you will be VERY well informed. I must have spent hundreds of hours on this board the first time we cruised and it did NOT ruin any of the fun for us. Just made us able to make decisions based on what we learned. I'm researching all over again this year and am having a blast doing so!

Marcotta....Thanks for the support. I read your post to my DH. Hopefully he'll stop teasing so much now.

Ha Ha Makaylee!! Wait until he realizes how much more you know than him and how intriguing it is that there is always something new to find out.....I bet he becomes addicted in no time!

My favorite type of people at WDW are those standing around looking at the park map and being totally clueless as to where they are, what they want to do next and how to get there from here. That means that they are NOT standing in line in front of ME:bounce: . And at the parks its only $50 per person per day that they are wasting.

Think about "wasting" time while on the cruise. The more you know and what your preferences are, you can be prepared and effectively spend your time enjoying what you like. And the info will help with the ressie scramble first thing on the ship. The other area it really helps is in shore excursions - because they do fill up. Knowledge is power (even if spelling isn't:D ). Having an idea of activities on board will help you when studying the daily Navigator on board - so you won't be so overwhelmed - and you can look for the activites you want to do.
