I put almost as much thought into carving my pumpkin for Hallowe'en as I do in planning my Disney trip (okay, not nearly as much, but still a heck of lot of planning for that 1 pumpkin (they're expensive here!)

Mid Sept I plan to be at MNSSHP, was giving thought to my costume, and thought, wonder what pumpkins Dissers are carving?

Does anyone have pictures of their creative or inspired pumpkin carving to share?

Here are 2 of mine from the past few years:

This is Zero and his dog house. I tried to take the picture with a mirror to show both angles.

This next one is last years pumpkin... One of Scrooge McDuck's villains from the Beagle Boys. I dressed up as a convict for work, and brought it in as a prop....also put prison bars around by cubicle, and scattered "dead" plastic flies around

:goodvibes

Pumpkin really is her name! We named her that because of the triangle over her nose.

PTO hosts a pumpkin contest every year and these are some the boys have done.
I prefer to use the fake pumpkins because we set them out every year. I've amassed quite a collection :rolleyes1 I need to find the rest to take pics.

BernardandMissBianca, I like the Frankenstein the best but the others are cute too.

thanks, they were from the Michael's pumpkin book. They usually put one out but I haven't seen one yet this year.

I didn't realize that you could carve those fake pumpkins. I was wondering why Michaels had their carving patterns right with them...:rolleyes1 Learn something new every day!

Hi. If you go on Better Homes and Gardens.com, they have dog stencils for your carving pumpkins.

It's hard!! They flex a lot so you need to do all the fine and small cuts first then do the outline. Chernobog was the hardest because of the seams for his arms.

I need to find a foam cutter that is a straight wire so I can heat the foam to cut it, the cuts would be a ton smoother!

Those are absolutely AMAZING! I can only remember carving a pumpkin once in my life... a few years ago I drew on one & made him look like Santa (Not sure why, but I'm pretty sure it was because we kept it for so long w/o it going bad, so we gave it a face to match the holidays LOL)

Now I wanna try to carve a pumpkin!!

very nice! thanks for sharing..
we haven't had time to deal with pumpkins this year... ;(
My oldest 4 are all going to parties..and my youngest didn't want to do them by himself.... :(
