Show me your ears!!

Anyone want to share pictures of their ears? Mickey ears that is . I am trying to avoid my kids buying ears on day 1 and wishing they had bought another pair the next day - probably can't avoid that - but I thought it would be fun to see all the pics anyway!!

I just did a search and saw the popcorn ears - so cute!! Anyone else have any fun Mickey ears??

I don't have pictures of my kids' ears, but what we did was go to the "build your own" at Downtown Disney to let them build their ears, but not until we were almost ready to leave, that way they had lot of time to look over their options. Instead of buying "right now" we went with a plan, and that was each child had a dollar amount, and they could show me what they wanted, BUT they had to take a photo of the item they wanted, and if they still wanted it on "souvineir" day, we would go back and get it. We did this with all purchases and not just ears. made it so they had to weigh their options and their purchase amounts.

Oh that's a great idea - we definitely are doing the budget approach but I like the idea of the taking a picture and having a souvenir day. But I do want some pics of the. In the parks with their ears - maybe we could do souvenir day in the middle of the week...hmmm. Thanks!!

Here are our ears. We are in our mid-40's and got these around 5 years ago at the DTD custom shop. Both of them have our name embroidered on the back in gold thread. Mine is basic and to the point

While hers is more personalized

We keep these in our antique china cabinet, which ironically has no china, but does have crystal and whatnot. When she saw I was moving things around in the cabinet just now I had to make myself clear. I made sure she understood that I wasn't getting ready to dust stuff so she shouldn't get her hopes up.

We have the traditional Mickey ears . I couldn't imagine waiting until the end to buy ears. There fun to wear in the parks... Make great pics too.

It is a plan that doesn't work for everyone, but it works well for us because 1) we don't wear them in the parks because I get handed "everything" they don't want to carry and that includes hats on their head. The frist trip at one point I was carrying 4 water bottles because no one wanted to carry theirs. and 2) I really want them to stay nice looking and not crunched up to fit in a spot on the ride etc. My kids weren't upset, and they were excited when they got to take them back the second trip and add new patches to them. But I know it doesn't work for everyone.
