Okay, you guys have posted some really great 'imaginitive' shots slow-shutter speed shots on some other threads. I'm hoping you will repost here (or post some new ones we haven't seen yet). Hopefully, having them in one place will allow people (including me!) to see and draw inspiration for experimenting with their own cameras.

What I have in mind are shots showing something you wouldn't see with the naked eye (blurring, softening, muting, showing movement, etc). Perhaps at least 1/4 second long (or even left on for hours :teeth: )?

Things I remember some of you posting that were fantastic:
- water spilling over a waterfall
- waves by the ocean
- vehicles passing by (cars, monorails)
- stars
- weather (lightning)
- hand-held objects with light (like a sparkler, that creates a path when moved)
- people in motion (running, jumping, etc)

:thanks:

Here are a few to start...

Acapulco - 5s f/4.9 at 35.0mm iso100

Epcot - 1/2s f/22.0 at 46.0mm iso100

Here are a couple from Epcot:

Thanks, Kyle. Good idea to include the basic exif data! This will help us learn from each other. I went back and added the info to my pics above.

Here are 2 more. I was experimenting when DW's cousin's came to visit about a month ago. DS is a bit to little to do these type of pics.

Using a tripod would have kept the background in better focus. It was fun trying it out though.

This one made me laugh... good idea! :thumbsup2 I'll have to try something like that sometime.

Both of these were shot handheld. I'm surprised they aren't blurry messes.

Man that's SHARP, bro... very nice. Did you hold or use a tripod? What settings did you use?

thanks! Melbourne is a great town for photos. i didn't take my tripod. it's the sigma 15mm fisheye @ F8, resting on a table for about 10 seconds or so. i had all the lights out in the hotel room and used my beanie to cover the gap of the flower-petal hood to avoid reflections.

That's funny! I've never heard anyone say it that way. I've used the trashpod, treepod, and the wallpod on many occasions. Now I know what they're called...
