If you look at the thread at the top of the Dis Unplugged board, the majority said that price was the most important factor. The December date is the lowest pricing during all of 2010.
You also have to keep in mind that availability is an issue.
If your kids are out of school, you are looking at double or even triple the price and crowded ships. This offers far less flexibility.
We looked at June, July and August and they are just ridiculously priced. As we asked your opinion and the majority said lower prices, we went with that. Had we picked summer dates and the cost was three times as high, we would have people ask us if we were crazy.

Maybe I am mis-remembering... but I thought someone said it was going to be during a family friendly time?? Who can go at that time of year with kids in school??
