Shout out to Twilight fans

So my two obsessions in life are going to fall in the same month, November. A new Twilight trailer came out on Thursday and my excitement for the movie coming out on Nov. 21st almost supersedes my excitement for our upcoming trip, almost, ok maybe it does a little . So yesterday I was all giddy, as I normally am when discussing all things Twilight, and I had a fantasy at that moment of how really, really spectacular it would be if I was going to be at Disney on the 21st and Twilight was some how a Disney movie and it would be playing in DTD. That would be thee most perfect thing in the universe, would it not, all you Twilight/Disney fans? I know you're on here for I see your siggies Anyway, I just had to voice my most perfect fantasy! Thanks for listening!

Twilight will undoubtedly be playing at the AMC in DTD! It's just a regular theater.
We go there to see all sorts of movies.
My DD and my DMom and I can't wait for Twilight!!! We blasted thru those books. I loved Breaking Dawn the most though. My DD is on the 2nd.
Very excited to see the movie. Maybe I'll go to DTD to see it just for the extra fun!

I LOVE twilight. I cant wait for the movie and the trailer was AWESOME! We are definitely going to see it opening weekend.

That's really cool that they filmed in your town. Did you get to see them taping at all or see any of the cast?

I still haven't read book 4. I'm kind of putting it off because I don't want it to end, KWIM? I'll probably start it today.

Does anyone know if the movie covers all 4 books? Or will they be doing it in parts?

I *just* started these last week, because DD13 wanted to read them and I wanted to check them out to make sure they were ok.

Oh. My. Gosh. Bad mistake, one week before the big DL trip I've been planning for 6 months.

I'm in the middle of book 4 and we leave in less than 24 hours. My packing is unfinished, laundry isn't done, and I'm sleep deprived because I CAN'T PUT THE STUPID BOOKS DOWN!

They're juvenile fiction and only reasonably well-written (from a snobby English major point of view ) but they're like mind candy.

On the other hand, they've provided such a distraction that I'm not stressing about the trip.

Help! What happens to Bella? I love Jacob, he's way funnier than Edward!

G2G pretend I'm packing, while sneaking peeks to find out what the Volturi are up to.

Gail, I did the same thing. Started reading them b/c dd(11) wanted to know if she could read them. Ummmm, NO! I really don't want her to have the unrealistic view of love that these books create. Plus there's just too much sexuality in them for her (she's a really young 11 since we homeschool). But now I feel guilty because I'm loving the books and she knows she can't read them.

What did you decide for your dd(13)?

I'm super excited for the movie!! It comes out before our next DLR trip! I too have spent several late nights reading these books. I also love The Host (maybe a bit more than the Twilight series).

Yay!! I enjoy these stories as well!! It's so easy to forget about everything else when you are reading the books!! I haven't seen the new trailer though. I can't wait for the movie!

No the movie only covers the first book. HOPEFULLY they will make all 4 or at least 3 of them (maybe they can combine book 2 and 3)

I love those books. I actually belong to an online book club about them. I can't wait for the movie. My sis got me hooked on them. She read them all in less than a week. I liked #1 and #4. I really wasn't a fan of #2. I kept wanting Edward to come back. I think we all secretly need our own Edward.

She started reading the first one, but I took it away and read it myself when I saw her with it. I thought the first and second were ok, although we had a long talk about what true love is like, etc. DD13 is mature and responsible, and def. not the "boy crazy" type, so after discussing it, I felt ok with her reading those two. DH and I discussed the third one at length decided to let her read it, though I told her, again, that we would be talking about the differences between our expectations for DD's actions and what happened in the book.

I think we all secretly need our own Edward.

Uh... yep. I love my DH; he's my knight in shining armor. But I think a lot of people could use a little extra adoration.

I will be up and getting ready to go in 12 hours! When am I going to finish this book?!

Don't feel bad, my DD (12) wanted to read them. So DH and I read the series and deided she needed to wait another few years. Good books though. DH and I LOVED them!

what I want to know is why none of you guys are over at the Twilight thread on the community board...we are twilight fanatics and frankly Im surprised as some of you I know and had no idea you were into Twilight...god Im obsessed...if you ONLY knew....Im counting down the days till the movie...I dont know if the question about all 4 books being in twilight movie was answered but I can tell you that its not...they arent saying that they are doing more but little things the cast says in interviews and such lead alot of us to believe they will do more...however, I guess the issue at hand is how they will do Breaking Dawn and since some of you have not read it yet I will not give off any spoilers but those of you who have, the issue would be Nessie <---highlight to see the word but dont look at it if you havent read it yet.... if you get my drift!! Did any of you go to a BD release party?? I went to one in Vegas and met some Twilightmoms and a couple of DISers...


btw...its ALL about Edward!!! haha

Ok Ok I'm obsessed!! There I admitted it! and I got my big sis to go a little crazy over these books too!!! I gave myself up over there and admitted my addiction. Decided to edit out my story about my obsession since someone posted "scary" after I wrote a little blurb about my Twilight experience. But other than that, I am officially outed! Read all four in about 9 days.
